Hey everyone. Im asking for some of your wisdom. Im a skinny person, actually Im just about average. Im about 5 foot 7, 132 pound so Im most definitely not over weight but I have some access fat around my neck, somewhat of a double chin but again, its nothing horrible because there isn’t that much fat on my body. It looks something like a Tim Allen type of chin. But anyways, now time to get to my question. How would I get rid of this. Maybe working out my chest or doing neck exercises. Anything you can give me is good. Thanks guys.

Hmmmm....Double chin.....

It can be hereditary - determined by genetic predisposition. Nothing to do with whether you're fat or thin.

That's why you see some fat people never seem to have double chin while some thin people seem easy enough to have it

So, if yours is due to hereditary, then your chance of getting rid off double chin would seem a tougher battle.

But don't despair, a round of double chin exercises would help to make your double chin "disappear".

Besides hereditary, more often than not, double chin is just fat deposits in your jaw line which can be gotten rid off by exercising the chin plus eating a healthy weight loss diet.

There is not an easy way to get rid of that. Sorry. When your body burns fat, it burns it all over. To get rid of fat under your chin you will need to get rid of body fat at the same time. Strengthening the muscles of your neck may help to improve the way the fat lies though. stretching your neck a few times a day and doing sit ups with hands on shoulders kind of works your neck muscles.

Sometimes it isn't really as much of an excess fat problem as a bone structure issue. If your chin isn't prominent the neck can appear flabbier if you know what I mean. There are some old fashioned exercises that help though.

you need to decrease the body fat %. a young male at 5'7 and 132 lbs should be close to 10% body fat

The weight lifting will make it worse! They will make your neck larger. Weight lifters have larger necks. Try arm curls with slowly progressively heavy weights to build up your arms and chest. Do the same for your legs, bench pressing with your legs to build up your legs and you'll start look like the other jocks on the beach! Maybe even better. You will even out . Give it 3 months and you will really notice how good you look. Don't forget those abs{sit ups}Good Luck!
