Yeah! Atheists have killed thousands throughout history in the name of Atheism!

With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

Oh, wait, that's the Christians doing the killing. My bad.

Well not me, Why? because I am a Christian. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. We do what Christ taught his disciples we go door to door and in the public square preaching and teaching. READ ACTS!
Yet not the Atheists, but the so called Christians always attack and damn my answerer's, even when the question is How do I get rid of Jehovah's Witnesses at my door. DUH.ask the expert! God and religion, or not does matter, but YES, I am also discouraged, people ask a question, I NEVER stray from the Bible with my answerer's, Yet, No one wants to hear what the bible said, and heaven help me if I admit to being a bible student in my answer, or use Gods name, YHWH or Jehovah in my answer.
Supposes Christians are as non Christian or worse than the Atheist people here, NO tolerance at all I am afraid!

It's a public forum, and they've got a right to be here. Many of them are presenting philosophical arguments, rather than attacking theists outright. Some do, unfortunately, behave like trolls, but there are any number of believers who dish it right out back to them. There are people on either side who don't seem to grasp the concept of a mature debate. Personally, I'm okay with the atheists being here, because I don't mind input from people whose beliefs aren't the same as my own.

More often I see supporters of the Moral Minority crying victim when others try and point out that other faiths (including the lack of a faith) are equally valid.

This is separate from the Majority of X-ians who might not understand other religions but don't mindlessly attack what they have no interest in understanding.

Do you feel "attacked" if someone disagrees with you? Is your belief so weak that it cannot withstand debate? Do you think that only theists are entitled to voice their opinions?

As long as there are theists who try to enforce their religion's rules through civil law, atheists will defend their rights, and the Constitutional separation of church and state. In fact, most atheists I know would also defend the right of theists to believe in one god, or one hundred gods.

Whenever someone points out self-proclaimed Christians attacking atheists/non-Christians and pushing their buttons, there's always a crowd of "other" Christians saying "well those people aren't REAL Christians"

What's good for one is good for all, so that's my answer: Those people aren't REAL atheists.

Uh..... what? I don't see a lot of atheists marching around this section saying "I have never said a harsh word to a Christian or about a Christian ever".

If an atheist was generalizing, they shouldn't've. Christians aren't ALWAYS the ones to "throw the first stone" and atheists aren't ALWAYS claiming to "NEVER the first to be aggressive".

Let's just stop generalizing altogether, hm??

if you are referring to my question, I said nothing about who cast the first stone, except why did it matter if you continue to banter. As long as you continue to try to 'one up' them, the war between the two will never end. Why can you not be content to say 'I believe what I believe' to yourself without trying to share it with everyone else that might not believe that?

I never said I didn't attack Christians.

I'll attack anyone that attacks me.

And hey, when I first came here I wasn't an atheist!
