I want to do some AC experiments at 15 to 30 kv, not much power, interested in the onset of arcing. Dont mind if a fuse blows when it arcs. Can you suggest something cheap? I am of the impression that old microwave ovens have a transformer, do you know its output ratio? The ratio of nbr of windings one side to the other? Does it make sense to Use a number of them wired high side to next low side to get up to this ratio?

Better yet, what do you suggest?

i think of etheir franklin or edison reported that he'd wager on the solar. photograph voltaic power that is composed of the earth is 1000times greater desirable than we are able to ever use, daily! nicely, its something amazingly huge like that. purely being waiting to harness a small volume of that power is nicely worth finding into. thats the place photograph voltaic or perhaps wind turbine technologies come into play. i think of electricity will run our lives, automobiles and everyhting elsee ultimately, the two with huge nuclear reactors or small sub stations or something of the style. the U. S. has the potential to maintain the waste from ding any genuine injury for as long as we choose the ability. yet thats purely my take, i'm additionally very involved in biobutanol, virtually ninety 5% effective as gasoline, so theres lots to look at for the very close to destiny, while oil would be tha situation of the previous... the earth desires our help, thats for specific..

If you are on a budget I suggest a variation of the windings and how they affect the output. You only have to pay for one transformer and you will have several data points to verify any pattern you find.

neon transformer will have this or at least 10kv Microwave for what i read are 2kv

(p.s high kv transformers can kill you very easy so watch out,you don't even have to touch them to die. All ways work with two people in the room)
