my brother has sunburn on his head and his forehead is extremely swollen. does anyone know how to reduce the swelling or what to take to help him. please help!!

Give him some Ibuprofen and put some cool wet cloths on his head. You might also get him some aloe vera gel. If the swelling is still there tomorrow, he should see a doctor...otherwise he could end up with scarring from the burn.

Use ice packs - 15 minutes only at a time. Taking Ibuprofen (alleve, motrin, naproxen) which is an anti-immflamatory will help unless you are allergic to those or have stomach ulcers, then just tylenol will help.

If his forehead is literally swollen from a suburn, you need to get to a hospital, as that sounds like a pretty severe burn.

i've never heard of that before. you could try benadryl but i'm not sure that will work in this case. a cool cloth to relieve pain and swelling is the only other thing i can think of.
