My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that neither Matthew nor Luke claimed that Jesus was a god.

Both say they are the genealogy of the step-father of Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:4 and Titus 3:9 say to not speculate over the genealogies. "Son of" means descendant of, not direct descendant of. The genealogies are not complete, but are more like saying someone is a descendant of George Washington and not including all the people in between.

Sorry. Matthew's is Joseph's and Luke's is Mary's.Joseph steps in as head of the family there. Not even close to having rights for women. The 1rst four chapters of Luke are all about Mary.Mary was descended from David through his son Nathan and Joseph through Solomon.Since Solomon's line was cursed at Jeconiah(Coniah) No one from Solomon's line could be on the throne after that. That's why the Virgin Birth is so important.

Because most of the disciples of Jesus (Yezua) were jewish converts, including the apostles. They believed Jesus was the Jewish messiah, as such linked him to Joseph as he was the "supposable" descendant of King David, and just as Jesus "proved" that even his apostles were weak in faith by their denial of him after he was arrested, this proves their denial of birth by the holy spirit of his "real" Father in heaven. Mankind is a species which always perceives only what it believes to be "real" never what truly IS. Jesus was conceived of the holy spirit of the Father in heaven and DOES NOT have any connection to the murderous and adulterous king of the hebrews, David. It is blasphemy to link him to the god or kings of the hebrews. What christians never question is the TRUTH of who Jesus really was. Jesus was NOT a "jewish" messiah but the "divine babe (child)" prophesized by an egyptian priest by the name of "Nu" about 3600 years BEFORE he came on earth. "Jesus" was an "egyptian" messiah and is WHY he was crucified and why MILLIONS of his TRUE disciples were put to death within the first 3 centuries by the Jews, Romans and catholics, and "evenually" in 330 a.d. this faith was "created" by the Roman Empire to be it's offical religion. It is this religion that terrorized many for 18 centuries. There is one problem only "they" know. That one of their first pope's was a confused "theban christian" for he wrote the Latin Vulgate with the TRUE name of God in heaven. Jerome who believe in the Father of Jesus called AMEN. The ancient Egyptian God of the New Kingdom era of the Egyptian dynasties.........This FACT is kept "secret' by the leadership of the Catholic heirarchy because to reveal it would mean chaos financially to all they have built upon Judeo-Christian principles.............

Your guess is wrong as usual. It was to show us that Jesus adopted Father was a decendant of King David. Jesus was both fully God and fully human. When we turn from our sins and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God adopts us into His Family and we become joint heirs with Christ Jesus!

They are admitting that god's word is flawed. I wish they saw ALL the flaws.
