Sorry: You say you are a confused christian-but you say later that you don't understand about Jesus coming back and you don't know if you are supposed to believe more.

I would say that the Holy Spirit is working with you and Satan is trying to stop you from "becoming a Christian"

Then you say you "pretty much" believe in "god" (not GOD) and you believe you are supposed to have morals.

Your problem is not that you are a confused Christian, rather that someone or somehow you have been led to believe you are a Christian at all.

In order to be a Christian means

1. You understand you are a sinner
2. You believe Jesus is who the Bible says He is and that He is returning to take us to be with Him. (if you just don't understand how or when right now, that's no big deal-you can learn and study)
3. You repent of your sins
3. You are baptised to join in the Death and resurection of Christ.
4. You continue your walk with Christ which means you learn and study and (do not knowingly sin over and over on purpose) The whole idea is to be as Christ like as possible in the life which means you work at it.

If I can help you or answer any questions for you please feel free to email me.

from one christian to another...its really simple...all u need is have faith...think of all the wonderful things that have happened to u in ur life...there has to be Someone behind it! That's God! and when Jesus comes back...its not going to be the end of the world...all the people that believe in HIm will have a better life with him....in Heaven...and the earth will be made new again....its not going to be someting horrible but infact something beautiful...you just have to believe. and you are soooo right about having morals and being good on earth...its what you do here that ends up deciding whether you make it into the Eternal Kingdom or not...just pray about it and God will be with you...i hope that helped and didnt confuse even more...take care

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [Hebrews 11:1]

I would suggest reading "The Case for Christ." I just finished it and it really strengthened my faith. The author, who was an athiest, interviewed all of these historians who proved that Jesus was a real man who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, crucified, and rose on the third day. It is an amazing book that even unbelievers will appreciate. Consequently, the author was saved after being convinced of Jesus's existance.

I think you should do some studying on your own. There is tremendous power in prayer. If you will pray that God open your heart to his presence and lead you along the paths of righteousness, you will see AMAZING, positive change in your life.

God bless you!

What a good question. I've searched for that answer for most of my life. This is my feelings: God is a loving God and wants us to have the best life possible here on earth. All we have to do is obey the 10 commandments, simple as that. Obey the laws of God and man and it all goes pretty well in life for me. I can't comment on which religion is the best. Once as a young adult, I was working outside, questioning the existance of Jesus, as I'd done most of my life. I believed in God and everything else. I was being still in my mind,,,and I got my answer. Clear, Loud and true. It came to me in a dream ,,or vision, but I have no doubt in his existance any more. Take the good from everything you experience and make it your own. Don't dwell on the end of the world,,,live each day as if it were your last. Laugh longer,,love better,,dance harder!!!! Peace,,and all good!!!

nobody really knows... everyone believes what they have been taught to believe. i wonder the same thing sometimes and then i'm told in church "dont doubt the Lord or you'll burn in hell", to me thats a fear tactic. i'm a little disgusted with organized religion at this point because, it seems that everything revolves around money, so i just believe in the God that I believe in, and I believe in being a good person and helping others. That hopefully should help me out in the long run ;)
that probably didnt help but, i'm confused too. how do we KNOW our God is the one we should believe in? i dont think anyone knows really.

Please be careful, sister! By asking this question you're inviting a lot of liars to answer you. In fact, you really should be asking God this question instead of us.

Here on earth, trust ONLY in God's Word--the Bible. Pray to God that He will show you His true light. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you for all your sins, and be your Lord and your Savior. If you keep on praying sincerely, and never give up, He'll come to you when He sees the time is right, and He'll give you a deeper, richer faith. But you must keep on seeking His face. Some people are allowed to go through a season of trial, in order to grow into the people that God wants them to be. Never, ever give up! In the meantime, ask the Lord to help you find a Bible-believing church that will give you fellowship in the Scripture and in Christ, and then go out and seek that church, trusting in His guidance.

Please DON'T listen to the Muslims on here. They don't worship the true God, of love and mercy and peace. Their "god" (Allah) is all about murdering, torturing, and terrorizing others. We know that the true God has no part in their false teaching.

God bless you!

First of all, confusion doesn't come from God. It comes from satan. Unbelief also comes from satan. It's not enough to believe that God and Jesus exist. What's important is that you have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Have you received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? If not, then that's the first step you need to make.
Let me ask you another question. Do you read your Bible at all? If you don't know what God has to say about you or the situations you face, you can be easily led astray. That's why He gave us His Word. So that when deception or doubt comes our way, we'd be able to recognize it for what it is....a lie.
Being motivated to do good to be alright with God is legalism and it puts us under the curse of the law not grace.
Grace is God's unmerited favor and His enablement .
Having a personal relationship with Jesus compels us to do good works, not to gain His acceptance, but because we're motivated by love. Since we're in right-standing with Him through the shed blood of Jesus, we can be confident that He won't condemn us because He accepts us. Romans is a great book to study because it tells you who you are in Christ and what your status is with Him when you receive the free gift of salvation.
God's Word is truth and the truth comes by studying and revelation.
True Christianity is about relationship with Jesus Christ through faith. Faith is a choice. We can chose to believe what God says in His Word or we can chose to believe all the voices that whisper in our ear.
God said if you're truly seeking Him you'll find Him. If you ask Him to show you the truth, He'll never give you a lie.

First off, we all have our doubts and even disbelief. A man came to Jesus asking healing for his son, Jesus asked him if he believed his son will be healed, the man replied, I know he will be healed, but HELP ME WITH MY UNBELIEF so that I may believe.

Second, the world is never going to end, however the world will see a nuclear holocaust that will desecrate the world which will be scorched to death(Read Revelations), but God will re-create a NEW EARTH and a NEW HEAVEN.

Third, Jesus is coming back, it may not be in your lifetime, but he stated it and God does NOT LIE. He will return, the only reason why He has not returned is that many more souls need to be saved and brought to Christ!! Also another reason for his delayed return is too hold back the works of the Antichrist. When the Holy Spirit moves out of the way of the Antichrist, the Antichrist will be unleashed on this earth and many souls will be damned forever because they will turn to the Antichrist. God even spoke of this in the Bible, I forget what verse it is, but it talks about the Holy Spirit moving to the side so that the Beast may pass.

Christianity is the only religion in this world to have a RESURRECTED SAVIOR!!!! Mohammed is dead, Buddha is dead, Confucious is dead, etc., yes Jesus Christ did die, but HE ROSE FROM THE GRAVE. David even spoke of this when He was pouring His heart out to God in the book of Psalms. David said that "I KNOW YOU WILL NOT LEAVE ME ROT IN THE GRAVE" Which He knew that the Savior would rise from the dead and take him from the grave when Jesus died, went to Hell, freed the captives(which David was one of them), appeared before hundreds of people on the earth and ascended with Jesus into Heaven.

Not by works, not by might, but by faith saith the Lord.

There are people in your church who are more than willing to help. Ask God for that special person to come in your life and help you with the confusion and ask HIM TOO!!

You are where I was on my path about 4 years ago. I stopped and asked myself, "Is this all there is." I found out that there's a whole world of people out there who feel the same way I do. You just have to allow yourself the freedom to search. Don't let anybody or anything make you feel guilty for questioning. It's a natural intersection you've come too. Don't be afraid. You'll find the answers you seek. "Knock and the Door shall be opened." When you find what you're looking for, you'll know it. And then and only then, you can start living instead of wandering. Blessings on your journey!

There is always going to be somebody telling you that you "should" believe in more of this or that. Don't let other people define your experiences for you.

As for knowing whether or not Christianity is the "true" religion, you won't. But then if there was some way of proving that it was, then you won't need faith. Maybe the answer isn't as simple as "one true religion, and all of the others are wrong". Don't focus on who might be wrong or who might be right. Focus on how this religion works for you, and how to grow with it.
