find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Here is what worked for me. Maybe you can find soemthing that might help you as well. Good luck.

Drink plenty of water. cut out alcohol if you drink it. It is sabotage to work out then drink two or three beers. A glass of wine is fine though. Don't deny yourself every thing though You have to live a little.

Keep carbs to a minimum at breakfast and lunch. It is the ups and downs in blood sugar that tells your body it is hungry. By sticking to protein dominated meals, you eliminate the blood sugar roller coaster. have some carbs at dinner. You can really help yourself if you make the switch to more complex carbs. It takes some getting used to, but it works. Stay away from white things. (rice, bread, pasta, crackers, etc). Eat more brown things (rice, wheat/grain toasts). Steer clear of things that are ready to eat or require 2 minutes in the microwave or stovetop. They are cruel tricks to your weight loss.

Exercise in the morning, on an empty stomach. Treadmill or ski machines are good. Try to do 30-40 minutes at low speeds not sprints. This keeps you body metabolism in fat burning mode. If you can work your way up to an hour, you will really see a change in your weight. (I lost 55 pounds and it is still off 7 years later)

Do some weight lifting. If you run or ski you will lose weight. But may not change your body shape. If you are pear shaped, you will become a smaller pear. That is great for a start. If you want to be lean and strong, you have to lift heavy things. Over and over and over until it hurts. Sorry, it is a fact. Don't over do it though. Start slow, build up your strength.

Remember, it took a lifetime to put on the extra weight. It may take years to lose it. It is a long process. So don't start out with unrealistic expectations. It has taken me 7years! and I still am working on it.

Good luck, best regards.

My best secrets is detox diets. It is not a diet fad per se. It advocates that we help our body to cleanse itself of toxins (which also includes fat cells and tissues). When we remove toxins, we also feel "lighter" and with less sluggishness, our energy levels improve.
