I am afraid of death as well. Just because we have faith that we will go to heaven, does not mean we can not fear dying In my opinion.
I am afraid of pain and leaving behind those that I love.
You are not alone, nor do i think it abnormal to feel this way.

Darlin - abide in the Word. Jesus is our light of the world and will dispell this fear that is hurting you so. Turn it over to God everytime the enemy tries to bring it up to you.
You are a child of the King, precious one, and our citizenship is in Heaven. We will be forever in paradise... so concentrate on the LIVING for our blessed Lord Jesus - and leave the chains of fear behind.
It is not an easy process to let go of our fears - but releasing them to God helps us in each and every way.
Do you have a home church, darlin'? Seek to have fellowship with other Christians. If you have a good church home, seek out your Minister. He can counsel you and pray with you. He is there to guide you through these difficult fears and doubts. Christian friends can also help divide your doubts. I pray you are plugged in to a great fellowship.
I pray you find peace tonight, dear one.
Remember - above all - Jesus loves you dearly.
Peace.

There really is no reason to fear death, get in touch with your inner self by meditating, it is your inner child that is frightened not you the adult, remember you were a spirit before you were a physical being, so by contacting that spirit in you will calm your fear of death, there truly is a greater place that awaits us all, and may our lord comfort and guide you on your spiritual journey. peace be with you.

I was too a while back but then I remember a saying. I don't know if it's in the bible but Jesus once said I am the light in the darkness. But if you want science Albert Einstein (who is world famous for being the smartest man in history) said he believes in an afterlife because human are made up of energy and energy can't just do a 'dead' (no pun intended) stop in its tracks.

This does not mean that you are not saved...it means that you are struggling with doubt and fear....I would advise maybe a study with a concordence on the subjects of fear, death peace and the promise of eternal life to those who Know the Lord.
Most of all pray...let God know what is on your heart and mind...(He already knows anyway)...ask for peace in mind and heart...

Doubt is a matter of the heart. Are your beliefs in your heart, which is faith, or in your head?
All of us have to deal with death and we actually start dealing with it as very young children. If you feel pressured by doubt and fear it may be something laid on you, and not your own feelings at all.
I cannot say this relates, but let me ask anyway. Are you really afraid of death; or is it just a foreboding or thoughts about pain that might accompany death? Other than some suffering, it is just a matter of falling asleep with him here and waking with him there.
Heb. 2:14 and 15 notes that Jesus took on flesh and blood that through death he might destroy the works of him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. If God has delivered us from the fear of death; then the fear of death is something being put on us, or we are accepting, contrary to God's word.
So, I think dealing with the fear of death, which Jesus died to deliver us from, points directly to the enemy of our souls; and you need to let him know who has the keys to death and hell, as it is written, and ask him step behind you.
Let me suggest that you memorize and do a study of the 23 Psalm. Consider the many Scriptures regarding death: From Paul, ...to live is Christ, to die is gain. Oh grave where is thy victory, oh death where is thy string...Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
And, consider that you are already dead for we died with him at Calvary. Col. 3.5 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. And Lu 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living; for all live unto him.
We need to be dead to this world, dead to sin, dead to the law but alive in Christ Jesus. Stay in the word, face the issue straight on. Consider that this fear does not reflect the liberty which Christ has given those who believe. If that is so it must be from another source.

It's normal to be afraid of death. It's a scary process. Pray for God to give you peace in your heart. I couldn't imagine living without the faith that there is more than this earth. I can't imagine if this was all there is. Just remember that when you die you go where there is no more pain & sorrow.

I think perhaps you need to read the bible more. The more grounded in God's word you are (and, do you pray often, too?), and the more consistent a relationship you have with Jesus, then you will know that you are assured eternity with God and will not fear death.

Hi t u RB o. All Chirstians go through times of unbelief, and that includes me. God gives us a prayer when we are troubled with unbelief. In Mark 9 God tells us of a man who brings his son to Christ to be healed. Jesus said to the man in Mark 9:23:
"Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
But the boy's father was having trouble with faith and said in Mark 9:24:
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Christ had mercy on the father and his son and healed the child.
What God is telling us in Mark 9 is that when we are going though times of doubt or unbelief, we should cry out to Him, "Lord I believe, help me with my unbelief."
