I've had over 200 rats since I started keeping them as pets 11 years ago.

I have had 3 rats. My first rat was Big Bunny (m). He was the light of my life. I loved that rat more than any thing. When I got him he was very sick and I nursed him back to health. I had him for 2 years and spent over 300 dollars in vet bills for him. He had everything from upper respiratory infections to bumbles on his feet, but he was the sweetest and smartest lovey in the world. One day at 5 in the morning, he woke me up scratching at his cage. He could barely breath. I had to wait till the vet opened. I took him and he was pretty far gone, so I had to make the decision and had him put to sleep. I still am not over it and it has been 7 months. Later I found out that the vet lost his ashes. One day I recieved a letter from a college of vet. med. and it said that a monetary donation was made by my vet in Big Bunny's honor to help cure sicknesses in rats. That was one of the greatest things ever. I curently have 2 rats. Timmy (m) who is 7 months and Delilah (f) who is 4 months. I LOVE MY RATS!!!

I have lost count. I started with one, and within one year was keeping 13 at a time. When one passed on I would adopt another to give it a home. If I had to estimate I would say anywhere between 40-50, possibly even more.
I'm down to 4 now, and miss each and everyone I had.

I've had 16 in all. Currently I have 4 but soon will be adopting 2 more little girls! All but one have been girls, I had one neutered boy.
I LOVE my rats!

Hm, I believe I've lost count. Let's see...
Howie (m), Jade (f), Rachel (f), Bullet (f), Lucky (f), Kokoa (m), Sarabi (f), Splinter (m), Samson (m), Delilah (f), Ginger (f), Jasmine (f), Twiggy (m), ''Ralph'' (f), Dawn (f), Big Ben (m).....so, 16 in the past.
I currently own 3 (Roxie, Hannah, & Jigsaw). Rat owner for 7+ yrs, and still going strong. They're wonderful little creatures.

I had 2 when I was really little. I kept them in the same cage, but then they fought and fought and one made the other's nose bleed, but then the other one died. And the alive one kept bleeding and bleeding. Then it died from extreme loss of blood. So yea. I didn't take it to the vet, cuz I didnt know what a vet was then. I think my mom tried to stop the bleeding.......but it didnt help.

well....i had two..then it trippled and then that doubled..and so on..you get what im saying....so at the end the total # or rats i had was 153 1/2 cause one only had two legs and a quarter of a tail....when they died...i burried them in my back yard under our maple tree.
