It costs between 17 -22 thousand dollars.. You have to get your doctor to petition your insurance company to pay for it. I do know someone who is on welfare and Medicaid paid for it because it was cheaper than trying to keep her alive at 500 pounds.

Contact your health insurance/medicare/medicaid. It may be covered, it was for my grandmother.
