Ok, stay calm. They say that dogs can die from chocolate. Yes! If they eat 25 bars of pure chocolate, but cooked chocolate like brownies won't kill them or hurt them. Don't let it happen again, but since she ate them already, don't worry, she will be tired and probably get a stomach ache, give her 1/2 a tylenol. She may throw up-that would be good. But, you do not have to take her to the vet, she will be okay in a day or too, same thing happened to my dog and the vet said, that if "cooked" chocolate is accidently ingested it can't hurt the dog. :)

Call the vet immediately! yes chocolate contains ingredient, as mentioned before, that is toxic to dogs. clearly u are concerned or u wouldn't be posing the question. do not take chances with your dogs life; get to the vet for answers, not from other dog owners, no matter how well meaning, none of us knows the exact specifics or is qualified to make a diagnosis. Even if she did not ingest enough to be fatal, she could be very sick and the vet could treat those symptoms to help her through what could possibly be a difficult time at best.

We had a boxer who ate a 2 and a half pound box of chocolates and he did fine. It would take an awful lot of chocolate to do a dog that size in. Your pet will not feel well for a while but just make sure it has enough water to drink. It will be ok.

Yes, please call a vet. Depending on the size of the dog and how much was eaten and if it is cooked or uncooked chocolate is a cause for concern. Chocolate, Onions, Grapes, certain kinds of chewing gum are very poisonous! Your dog was a fairly large dog so more than likely it will be alright. But call the vet it won't cost you anything to call and they can give great advice.

Ya, call the vet. That is a lot of chocolate for a dog. Especially because brownies are so rich.

Since there seems to be a wide variety of opinions, I'd call the vet to be on the safe side. It doesn't cost anything to make a phone call.

Your dog will be fine, might be a little stoned for a day or two but that wont hurt anything, I suggest next time you make marijaunna brownies not to get so high that you forget that they are out and your dog is just like its owner, POTHEAD

your vet will pump her stomach to get the chocolate out.....it is safer to call your vet since she is young and she ate a lot of chocolate at once.....
