State laws differ on how long you have to return a vehicle. For example in California, the law is clear, there is NO cooling down period, so once you sign the paper work, the car is yours.

Some states do have a 3 day cooling off period. You need to check with your state laws.

Depends on the state you live in. In California, you have no such right for a new car purchase. All the dealers post signs very prominently is the salesperson's cubicles that California law does not cover that.

Not sure about used cars.

Depends on the contract agreement, if the car was new or used. You could always contact Better Business Bureau and find out your rights.

You must read your contract when signing for points such as this, and ask to have pointed out to you any question you may
have.....many unscrupulous car deals are made on a daily basis....

on a new vehicle, you have 30 days to trade for another. at least i did.

LAWS ARE DIFFERENT FROM ONE STATE TO ANOTHER, SOME GIVE YOU 72 HOURS BUT MOST ONLY GIVE YOU 36 HOURS.

SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR CONTRACT CLOSER.
