I too walked away from that show wondering..."well, what can I do?" I have learned just how much changing your light bulbs to compact fluorescents can help. I've also switched my laundry detergent to "seventh generation" which isn't petroleum based and is good for the environment. Try to avoid plastic shopping bags as much as possible and of course recycle. These are just a few small things that are easy and not life altering that you can do that will make a difference.

You alone cannot stop it, but you don't have to contribute to it as much.
So to do your part, first reduce, reuse, recycle, the 3 Rs, always important. Compost if you can, use reusable grocery bags. Switch your lightbulbs to CFLs, wash in cold water and hang to dry when possible. Buy local produce when possible(it travels less of a distance to get to the store, plus it puts money into your local economy, not a foreign one).
But here's a great kicker, you're not the only one in your class or school that feels this way. You're all affected closely because of your youth, it matters to you more than your parents for instance.
So get passionate. There's some big changes you can make at school. Start a campaign to make the school green. You can petition to allow for recycling bins everywhere, even a compost bin. You can also petition to have better food served at school in less packaging(unlike how it comes out of machines). You can petition to have the school do an energy use evaluation(which can be done using students), and then institute a new energy policy which will also save it money(for example schools tend to leave lights on at night, some do it all night, it's wasted power, even if they claim it's for safety because motion sensors would be better, turning the lights off at night would cut power use). And the biggest change you can do is to petition to have the school plant trees, lots of trees, I'm sure if you really pushed it you could get one tree per student planted. That's a mini forest, imagine the carbon offsets for that.
So you can do personal changes and change a little, but with a little organization, you can change your school. Start a green group, and green up the school, you've got nothing to lose, and clean air to gain.

Unless you have found a way of turning down the heat from the sun there's not much you can do sweetheart, well anything that is actually gony make a difference to global warming, but since they don't harm anyone else do what the other people here suggest even if the only thing it helps is that you feel good about yourself.
P.S. Forgot to say keeping the enviroment clean, though doing nothing about global warming can only be a good thing

Well, you could accept the fact that global warming is a natural process, and has occurred a few times before; But, you could also start believing it is an attempt for some government leaders to mislead you, and and dupe you into abandoning your current lifestyle. You could write to your leaders and oil companies to stop spreading the lies (One reason they keep raising gas prices, to stop us from traveling, and force us to believe our emission systems is causing this phony global warming. After all, if the world was warming up, I think we would not have had that cold snap that killed all the crops in late April. Of course summer is coming, and the hot weather will convince you even further that Global Warming is real. If you don't live in the mid west or the north, you will probably never be convinced it is all a lie.

Yes, tell Al Gore to get his fat *** off of his private jet that belches out GHG's, and shut down his house that uses more energy in a MONTH than even the largest houses that normal people own use in a YEAR! His power bill last month was over $20,000! That is practicing what you preach, isnt it?
The hypothesis that Man is causing global warming is a complete FARCE! Al Gore and his cronies simply stand to make TONS of money off of telling you how to live your life. Enron was in bed with Al Gore when they were first trying to get legislation through to pass Kyoto style restrictions. Why? because Enron was going to make Millions of dollars off of those restrictions.

Use compact flouresenct lightbulbs. They use up to 30% less energy than a standard light bulb. Small things like that make a large difference in stopping global warming.

YOU CAN:
use compact fluorscent bulbs
carpool
plant trees
use less energry and fuels
use less water
dont burn as many trees.[the CO2 goes into the air]
recycle
use cloth bags instead of plastic
throw away stuff properly.
-batteries DONT go in the GARBAGE!
-put batteries and other acidic things in the dump.
TEACH OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING!!
i didnt think this was a big deal. IT IS HUGE!
what we do now, can help our future generations.
some people mite be like why should i care about them, but do u want ur grandkids and kids and so on having to deal with our mistake. it is not fair.

Rent the movie and watch it again. They offer plenty of suggestions at the end. I'm sure you should have remembered this.
Also, if you feel bad for riding in a car and not walking or biking everywhere, join the club. So do I. But we cannot go through a single day in today's wolrd without doing something to hurt the Earth. So, just do what you can.

One of the things you can do to help global warming, is to recycle. By recycling, you are not throwing trash that can be reused which can improve the overall pollution in the world

Well, you can recycle paper and cans to start. You can also not make as many trips, or maybe combine some, to save on gas. You could also try taking the bus to and from work
I'm sure there are tons of other things that you could do but this is just a start.
