I still haven't recieved my tax return check?

I filed my taxes the first days in April and my sister filed 2 days before I did and she recieved it a month ago. What should I do? Should I just wait?

If you mailed yours in, you're right about on schedule to get it in the next week or so. Did your sister file electronically? E-filed returns get refunds in 9-16 days if they are direct deposited, about 10 days longer if the check is mailed. If you mail in your return, it takes a few weeks longer.

Go to irs.gov and click on "where's my refund" - that should tell you when you can expect your refund and if there's any problem with your return.

Learn from this experience and NEXT year file electronically and designate that you want the REFUND CHECK if due to be automatically deposited in your Bank Account. This generally takes 10-15 business days to be processed for you!

You may want to put the money into a savings account at your local Bank.

You and me both... I filed my fed return... oh, when was it? about mid-March, I got that back months ago. I waited til the last minute to send in my state returns (moved during the year). Sent them in April 14, still haven't seen a thing... hm...

If you still have your instruction booklet, there might be a number you can call. Have your paperwork and your SS # with you....

contact the IRS ,dont wait ,they will answer your question ,and they are located in phone books in all states,please trust me in this matter. I have been down that road.
