I'm planning to lose 5-10 pounds now and during the summer.
i still go to school and i have gym class 2times a week. in the morning i walk for 20mins & eat a bowl of Kix ceral and a fruit or a Chewy bar. during school i walk when i switch classes, for lunch i eat a ham or turkey sandwich on wheat bread with apple or baby carrots as side snacks. i walk 20mins home and do 500-1000 jump roping and 300 sit-ups. for dinner i have a bowl of rice and some veggies or sometimes some fruits as dinner. for snack i usually have a Chewy bar as well.i also drink 2-4 bottles of water a day.
is this a good diet if i want to lose weight? when will i start to see changes? thanks :)

Well sounds like you are getting lots of exercise. I hope that you are doing things you enjoy and not just doing this to lose weight. Your diet sounds healthy but you could use a bit more calcium rich foods. add some lowfat dairy. Losing 5 to 10 lb is usually very easy while you are still growing and your metabolism is very strong.
You should see results each week about 1lb per week.

Any body has the tendancy to meet an ideal weight - it sounds from this workout, you're pretty fit as-is. Unfortunately, losing those 5-10 lbs will not be easy.

Your workout regimen and calorie intake seems like you will begin the road to weight loss pretty quickly, but even with this course you will end up plateau-ing eventually. Make sure to occassionally (3 weeks) change up your routine or have a "rough" Saturday workout (for example) to give your body a change of pace to get those last couple off.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
