It means to me that if I start holding offenses, I will not be forgiven for mine either. Ever heard the prayer the Our Father? It is stated by Jesus, that we need to forgive others in order to know the love of our savior to our fullest.

But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

It means that if something unjust has been done to us, we better forgive the person who did it, or else when we go to God in prayer to seek forgiveness for the sin we committed, He won't forgive us.

If you do not forgive others that offend or sin against you,then God will not forgive you when you sin.
