On a single dose basis, they are likely about the same though police and social status lean against a joint more heavily. Many studies have been and are being done on this subject.
On the long term marijuana and tobacco smoking produce similar results in the lungs, bronchi, throat and mouth. (1,2, 4, 6) However, tobacco appears to impair immune system function and protection to a greater degree than does marijuana (5).
In young people cigarette smoking is associated with higher levels of violence than is marijuana smoking(3).

Yes there has been a study, many studies actually. They are both bad, but 1 joint is worse than 1 cigarette because 1 joint of marijuana contains four times the amount of organ desrtoying tar than 1 cigarette. Don't smoke either, but if you really have to choose the cigarette and make sure you are by yourself so no one else inhales your second hand smoke, you know it kills faster than first hand!

Yes actually there has been a test recently done in Europe. Tobacco was in the top ten with alcohol. Marijuana did not make the top ten.
I have this saved on my computer somewhere, if you want the info email me and I will send it to you, I wrote a article about this very subject, that is the top ten and marijuana not making it....
Ignorance is bliss but facts are facts!!

I wouldn't recommend either. I believe that, looking at research that is out there, that smoking cigarettes are more destructive. They have absolutely no health benefits, and only health risks. They are addictive, and hard to quit. Marijuana, however, has some health benefits (if used appropriately), and is not as addictive or harmful.

Smoke the joint first. Then you won't care whether the cigarette will kill you.

there are studies but i dont know where to find them.
if you use a filter when you smoke pot then there is no more tar then in a cigarette, however the additives like nicotine and sawdust that are in cigarettes make it through the filter which is why i think pot is more healthy
