2,never throw anything out of you'r car window
3,see a peace of litter pick it up even if it's not you'rs
4,make shure you'r washer go's into you'r septic sistem

Improve them to what? Waterways have always been unhealthy to drink from. They have always been polluted by biological contamination from rainwater runoff, dead animals, fungi, etc. Fish, and other water creatures, do awful stuff in the water. That's why early man learned to drink from artesian wells, natural springs, and later to dig wells of his own. What's your definition of a healthy waterway?

organize clean up crews perhaps with youth groups the local fire dept....stop dumping things in it....hey in Rhode Island I heard about a water treatment using: slugs, eels, snails and other creatures that turn the worst water ever, with sewage and toxins...in just three days...it can be done but who is going to do it...we should.

We are improving them every day. Effluent from most waste water treatment plants is "healthier" than the receiving waters.
