You are partially correct.
Christian's INSIST on changing nothing. This is true because God is unchanging. This should be a good thing. One set of rules for everyone involved.
The Bible is not irrelevant. This is also true. However, it is more than just stories. That would imply that it was much like Aesop's Fables which of course it is not. It should be taken literally and as truth. Interpret how you wish after accepting that fact.
We should ask questions. Are you a good person? Take the test below. You might be surprised.

Be kind to our neighbors. This is true as well. However, don't confuse being kind with tolerance. Christian's should be kind to others. Our primary purpose should be to warn those that are lost about their destiny. We will be unsuccessful if we are hateful and bitter. Though, we must honest. Don't tell people that becoming a Christian is going to make your life so much better because you will be happier, healthier and wealthier. Tell them that they have broken God's laws. That they will be judged by him (not us) and found guilty. That they will be cast into Hell unless they turn from their sins and accept Christ's sacrifice on the cross to pay their penalty.
The modern church has watered down the scriptures so much that many "christians" are being misled into thinking that they are saved and should just live a good life. People will come to Christ because they see what good people we are. They will want to be like us. Foolishness!
Tell people or their blood will be on your hands.

I believe we should not look beyond the bible but to it. We are to go to the bible and with the Holy Spirit in prayer and meditation to show us the proper interpretation. We are to respond in ways to build each other up in the way they should go according to their needs. Like the parable of the farmer planting the seeds. The weeds were left to grow among the crop until the day of harvest. then they are sorted out by the one given the authority ( not us) and placed accordingly to the life they chose. This still will not set well with unbelievers. Their is no hiding from the persecution. Jesus loved all and still they sought after him to silence him. For one to care for a dear friend, at some point you need to be the friend and help them understand that you care about their eternity. Do all things out of Love and be above reproach. Lift others up for if your tear others down you are not doing the Lord's work but that of destroyer.

Hmm, i'm a conservative Christian yet i won't be able to assert i stick to the bible extra heavily then extra liberal Christians. the factor is i comprehend some liberal Christians who have self assurance specific issues are no longer sinful even however the bible explicitly states are incorrect. I mean somebody advised me that advance right into a protracted time in the past 'blah blah' what approximately beef that advance right into a sin to consume and Jesus made that sparkling. specific, what Jesus makes sparkling is sparkling yet i'm surprisingly specific what God suggested is an abomination advance into no longer made sparkling. In all reality it is not correct in the experience that your liberal or conservative this is the place your individual walk with God is. via fact I actual have met some surprisingly hypocritical conservatives.

First, I take it that you are not a genuine Christian, that is that you have not been saved from your sins, that you have not asked God to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Open mindedness, is what every one asks of the Christian but not towards them. Get the picture, you ask us to be open minded, yet when it comes to Christians you are not, you are closed minded.
Is it kindness to watch someone going headlong into a trap, is it love to allow someone to succumb to something that will destroy them and then eternally. Is it a kindness to withold the thing that could make them well, having the abiltiy to heal and not heal, if you were a doctor and had the ability to perform an operation that would save your patients life, would you be consider kind, generous, good to your patient in withholding that procedure, that operation that cure for which they would die from it.
Would you say that if i had the cure and administer it to as many as possible and it worked when it was taken correctly and immediately and timely and daily and this would make them well, whole, and free from the sins of the world - that is what you are say that we should deny all people by being kind by not telling them!

Amen. Please, let me just start out with an apology to anyone I've ever insulted or hurt, in any kind of way. I am kind of hard lined at times. But, I truly love the Lord, and I'd be lying if I told you that I agree with everything some people spew out of their mouth on here. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but it hurts' me also, when people are so disrespectful of my God.
Jesus loves you all very much.
I just pray that, some day you will come to know his love, his mercy, his kindness, his grace, his warmth, his patience, his wisdom,.....etc, etc, etc.
God Bless You all.

It always amazes me when people declare themselves smarter than all who have come before them. We have more TECHNOLOGY now. That has NOTHING to do with morality, and in many cases, only makes spiritual maturity even more elusive today than in the past.
The Bible already TELLS us to love one another. I don't need you to tell me that. But what are we to do when we see people running full-tilt over a cliff? And when we point out the fact, we are derided as discriminatory and hard-nosed fools.
So tell me, who is labeling their enemies?

I love everyone it's not my place to Judge it's God', and he Say's to judge their "fruits" weather they are good or evil, so we won't be deceived.
Changing the word or bible, no real Christan would ever compromise God's truth's, that's what makes us Christan's.we don't change God's word we change our self to conform with his word.
be kind to neighbors ..always even when they have cussed me out, slapped me, hurt me for the gospels sake.
and remember in order to get along with people we to step away from statements like:idiots, morons , dimwits, dummy's, etc. that have been called to me for expressing my faith.
bottom line we can give but if you won't receive(an mock and scorn us) what should we do then?
YES i can and will always show love even if it is rejected.

Christians dont hate anyone. This is a Christ-like quality. I think being conservative can be a good thing, liberal allows evil in and considers it normal. An open mind? I follow Jesus not the world. Im not making my own paths but following the narrow road Jesus already gives us. People will hate us, its normal, because we make them guilty for their desire to be evil and they want acceptance. I love all people but I hate evil and even evil can be packaged up nice. I chose Jesus, not the world, why push people. No one forces you into Christianity, its not a believe or I will be-head you thing but its Gods world and God already said what it takes.....belief in Jesus, faith in the Lord, follow Him, His ways are not hard and they are good for us. God bless.

God doesn't change. Truth doesn't change. The world needs a base of truth, not popular whims or what's politically correct at the time. Jesus Christ, the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
