Could anyone tell me if they regard flushing after a banging number 2 in a public toilet to be mandatory or is it up to the person making the deposit?

Flushing is the courteous thing to do whether its a #1, #2 or #3.

Why leave your "results" behind unflushed, to smell up the room for the next person?

Flush with your foot if you're afraid of touching the toilet.

And washing your hands would be nice, too. I read a study that said something like 40% of the people washed - but that went to 80% if there was another person in the rest room.

It is not legally mandatory but in agreement with others I can say it is morally, ethically, and hygenically mandatory to flush after pinching a loaf.

Your choice, but be wise.

Try to drop one in a bog I've been in without flushing is impossible.

You don't want to see that, so you flush and I'll flush.

Ok?

Well mandatory is the incorrect word - you should be using your manners which have hopefully not been flushed away - flush and flush again and wash your hands please!
