I am SO horrible at grammar and I so badly want to brush up and try to learn. This has been one thing that is bugging me..

Which sentace would be correct and why? What is the rule behind it?

NA and AA IS for people with substance abuse problems
or
NA and AA ARE for people with substance abuse problems

And any additional grammar rules, tips, and tricks would be VERY much appreciated! Thanks.

NA and AA ARE for people with substance abuse problems. When you have an "and" joining, then you are talking about plural subjects, and you use the word "are". Hope that helps.

The second one with ARE. That is because there is more than one thing. If you were saying: NA is for people with substance and abuse problems, then it would be fine, but since you are saying NA and AA, then you have to use ARE.

The subject is compound and therefore ARE is the right verb. For example, if I substitute, NA and AA for carrots and peas, it would be: Carrots and peas ARE for people with substance abuse problems. Therefore, the correct answer is NA and AA are for people with substance abuse problems. Hope this helps.

NA and AA ARE for people with substance abuse problems. Your subject 'NA and AA' is plural so you would use 'ARE'.

I would say ARE
because the subject is plural (two things)

NA is for people....
AA is for people

NA and AA are for people....

milk is good for people
juice is bad for people
milk and juice are liquid products

neither. How might want to the word "failing to fulfill the time line" ever be held responsible for some thing? on your sentences that word appears the concern of the sentence. A better stunning sentence might want to be: Our organisation can't be held responsible for failing to fulfill the timeline.
