Using Winrar file compressor?

Hi people;

I've used winrar for the first time and... well it's useful to put many files together in a single file, but when I look its properties I see I've only compressed a 1%... is there any way to compress much more, like let's say 50%?? I can't compress more because I'm using a demo??

nope.

it depends on the file type you are compressing. Images are notoriously hard to compress more than a couple of percent. Some video formats can't be compressed more than a couple percent.
