There is a reference to an animal that would match the description of a Brontosaurus in the book of Job - suggesting that there may have been a space of time shared. Additionally we live with the decedents of the dino today, birds, reptiles, sharks and many more. You can choose to disbelieve the skeletal remains, the limestone tracks and the many scientific findings but I am surprised you disbelieve the bible.

I've heard a lot of the creationist argument and I've never heard anyone deny the existence of dinosaurs. However, there is a big difference between how old theologists think the world is and how old scientists think the world is. According to scientists, dinosaurs roamed the earth hundreds of thousands of years before humans were here, but creationists believe the world is only 6,000 years old. I see how there is a big conflict of interest here on this particular idea, but I don't think that creationists say that dinosaurs didn't ever exist. There is physical proof. However, the method of dating is questionable.
One idea is that the "days" that God took to create the earth were not literally days but periods of time with a beginning and an end. Dinosaurs were created with the other animals. By the time humans were created, they had evolved into other types of creatures. The bible isn't specific on these things. It expects people to rely on faith, not on detailed facts.
PS... I just read Job 40 and 41 like the guy said and it really does sound like dinosaurs! I didn't even know that was in there!

I am a Christian and don't have a problem with evolution at all. Even Jesus said that man must be born of water and of the Holy Spirit. Science teaches that all life came from water. The book of Job is probably the earliest writing in the Bible and Behemoth and Leviathan, both mentioned there, sound pretty much like dinosaurs to me. I do not believe that man evovled from anything other than man. There is a sea creature called the coelacanth which was thought to be extinct and was only known by fossils until the 70s when it was rediscovered living and exactly the same as it was millions of years ago. Surely if a fish can survive without changing so can man.

I'm Christian and I believe the book of Genesis couldn't have told us everything that happened in the beginning. If it had, it would be larger than the rest of the Bible if it went into that much detail... including dinosaurs, evolution, the way the solar system works, galaxies, etc. Clearly dinosaurs existed. I believe humans were given brains for a reason: we were meant to understand whats going on around us. There is absolutely no reason why Christianity and dinosaurs cannot coexist.

I get your point. Years ago when I had to study prehistory for a university project, it shook me up to see the data. Millions and millions of years dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Man as we know him a paltry few thousand............. Just what exactly was god supposed to be doing all these years????twiddling his thumbs and thinking...."maybe I can create something a wee bit more interesting here? " That was the first time I questioned the religion that had been stuffed down my throat for so many years. But not the last.I am now an atheist. As for what religion dinosaurs followed , I would assume that there were certain species that had their own rituals and social groups, maybe even some type of religion........although it`s hard to believe that they worshipped the cult of the virgin dinosaur birth , anything is possible!!!!!

First, let me state, I AM A Christian! I also believe that the dinosaurs are/were real. However, there have been fossilized Dinosaur foot prints found with human foot prints made by man inside of them before they were coverd and fossilized. What makes you think man and dinosaurs never co-existed? You must remember that all methods of dating are still suspect and can not give exact dates. All of teh theories regarding the ''jurassiac'' perion are just that, theories. I have wondered if maybe in mans distant past if there might not have been contact between man and dinosaurs, that would explain some of the ledgends about dragons and would definately explaing what ''leviathon'' as mentioned in the binble might actually be. Just some more food for thought.

Evolutionists claim that dinosaurs evolved over millions of years. They imagine that one kind of animal slowly changed over long periods of time to become a different kind of animal. For instance, they believe that amphibians changed into reptiles (including dinosaurs) by this gradual process. This would mean, of course, that there would have been millions of creatures during that time that would be ‘in between,’ as amphibians evolved into reptiles. Evidence of these ‘transitional forms,’ as they are called, should be abundant. However, many fossil experts admit that not one unquestionable transitional form between any group of creatures and another has been found anywhere. If dinosaurs evolved from amphibians, there should be, for example, fossil evidence of animals that are part dinosaur and part something else. However, there is no proof of this anywhere. In fact, if you go into any museum you will see fossils of dinosaurs that are 100% dinosaur, not something in between. There are no 25%, 50%, 75%, or even 99% dinosaurs—they are all 100% dinosaur!
The Bible tells us that God created all of the land animals on the sixth day of creation. As dinosaurs were land animals, they must have been made on this day, alongside Adam and Eve, who were also created on Day Six (Genesis 1:24-31). If God designed and created dinosaurs, they would have been fully functional, designed to do what they were created for, and would have been 100% dinosaur. This fits exactly with the evidence from the fossil record.
Evolutionists declare that no man ever lived alongside dinosaurs. The Bible, however, makes it plain that dinosaurs and people must have lived together.

I believe in creation. What I do not believe is that the "6 days" in Genesis is only 6000 years. A "creative day" could have been 1000s and 1000s of years long.
I believe that the dinosaurs were alive EITHER before Adam and Eve OR at the same time as Adam and Eve but in a different part of the world. it is possible that the dinosaurs were destroyed in the Flood of Noah's day.

No "Evolution", if there ever was, what happened??? Why did it stop??? I'm a Christian & I KNOW there were dinosaurs as their fossil evidence is still left! I think U've been hanging around the wrong group(s) on both accounts. John

I am sure that when you typed this question in that a list of at least 1,000,000,000 similar questions came up on your screen. Did you think to read over those questions? If I go to ask a question and a few "similar" questions come up as suggested--I read over the questions and look for answers there before asking my question--besides, it saves you on points. Do you know how annoying and time consuming it is to have to retype my answer every time this question is asked?
If I seem rude, so be it.
Do atheists like being asked all the time why there are still monkeys. NO.
