Why do people naturally assume somebody with a lot of degrees after their name who makes a lot of $$ is trustworthy? Everyone thinks a pedophile should look like an unkempt lowlife (they usually do) but there are obviously pedophiles with professional jobs who are clean cut and smart. Don't you all agree that a person (usually a man) who comes from a good family who may be pedophilically inclined (not a real word, I'm sorry) would choose to go into the profession of being a pediatrician? I'm not saying all pediatricians are pedophiles, NO. But don't you all agree that there are probably SOME pediatricians who ARE pedophiles. Please share your opinions and wisdom.

Yes I do just as there are pedophiles in the ministry, schools, Summer camps, your neighborhood grocer, mail man , neighbor they are every where and it is a sad day that we can't do anything about these kind of sick people interacting with or around our children or us even for that matter. I live in a neighborhood where a convicted rapist lives right behind me, I never allow my daughter to play in the back yard if I a not out there with her and I do not allow her to ride her bike own our alley way, he's 72 now but still he's strong enough to over power a child.

Well any career that would involve being in close contact with young chilldren would be attractive to a pedophile I suppose. Becoming a doctor isn't just something you choose and decide to be a pediatrician to be near children. That is ALOT of effort to go through...not saying your scenario could not be partially true; but I would think the percentage of pediatricians that are also pedophiles must be very low.

I don't trust someone just because they have a lot of money or degrees. Your scenario is a little extreme. Maybe there are some perverts in pediatrics but most kids are not left alone with doctors very long. There most likely are pedophiles in every position in the working world. We do what he can to be vigilant but don't make yourself sick

I am in school to be a psychiatrist and it is my opinion that no person is going to go through everything that it takes to be a physician just to be a pedophile.......Not to mention the money....It costs somewhere in the ballpark of 200k just to finish under grad and grad school.....That is alot of money and not to mention alot of time just to be able to look at a child

anybody from any walk of life can be 'ill in the head'... it is true! it just comes down to people being careful. when i used to get massages when i was under 18yrs my mum used to come into the room with me... i think that was great, you never know who can attack the vunerable...! people just assume that people who have a low social status are the untrustworthy people and those who are making a successful and 'honest' living for themselves are the trustworthy ones... its just a stupid and untrue sterotype, this world needs to get rid of so many sterotypes! i see what u are saying, people can never be too careful.

Yes. It disgusts me to think about it. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell if the doctor is getting pleasure out of feeling on the kid or not. I mean, if they linger or something, I guess u should get the f*ck-head investigated.
