it depends on wat ur talkin about..u can fire blanks in a real gun but if ur gunna fire real rounds in a blank firing gun...im assuming it wouldnt work but if you were to undergo a change its necessary to change the actual BOLT, not the slide or spring or slide.. u may need to replace the barrel so the actual projectile can fit the grooves and come out..but otherwise i doubt the makers of blank firing pistols make it possible..hence the making of BLANK firing..

Possible? I'm sure someone, somewhere has figured this out. But the question is "why"? If you can legally have a real gun, then go out and buy one. If you can't afford a nice one, go out and buy a used one, or an older model, etc. Guns can be bought cheaply if you know how to shop for them. Now, if you can't own a gun where you live, or if you are a felon and are not allowed to have one, or are too young to own one period, then why would you risk personal injury and possible jail time over a gun? Don't get me wrong, I am extremely pro gun, but if you can't own a gun and are trying to cheat your way around the system to get one, then you are asking for trouble.
That being said, assuming that you could own a real gun if you wanted to, and are just curious as to whether or not you can convert a blank firing gun to fire real bullets, I guess it all depends on the caliber and the strength of the gun itself. I'm sure you could somehow convert it to fire .22 caliber rounds, etc, but 9mm is a high pressure round, and would probably cause the slide to come off, or the barrel to burst after a handfull of rounds. My advice, don't do it.
If you can legally buy a gun, and have no ill intent for owning one (I.E, are not a criminal) then by all means go and buy one.
If you are not old enough, then wait a few more years.
If you are a felon, and can't own a gun yet still want one, Mr. Crack dealer will probably be able to give you a gun, as criminals don't obey laws, so laws would be irrelavent to you, but I would still advise against this as you may run into a legally armed person who would not take too kindly to your actions, and thus you might earn a toe tag.
If you live in a country that is oppressive and doesn't allow you to own weapons, then gather some like minded friends, get together politically and VOTE to change the laws so that you can own firearms.
Trying to modify blank firing guns to fire real bullets is just asking for trouble, for several reasons. Don't do it.

Just because it's possible does not make it safe.
The blank guns frame slide etc. are NOT strong enough to handle pressure. Blanks create very little if any pressure in the gun where as I bullet will seal the barrel creating pressure which is what sends the bullet down range.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO....
The shooter & by standers WILL get HURT.......

if you're asking me: can I? yes is it safe for me? yes is it legal? probably not. so the conclusion: rather than take a legal risk how about I just buy a real gun instead? besides, this is alot of work! it's definitely not as simple as using a drill. and since you're asking us about it you probably don't know how to do a safe conversion or what problems need to be addressed, I suggest you either buy a real gun or be happy with your blank gun. and stay away from your friend when he's firing his converted pistol. it is very likely to turn into a bomb on the next shot. he'll probably loose a few fingers and you'll be hit with a chunk of his zip gun.

This would not be advised. The frame of a gun is built for the pressure of a live round. A blank has minimal pressure. I wouldn't want to shoot the thing. It won't be safe. If you want to do something stupid hit you thumb with a hammer. At least you won't die. Leave the gun building to gun companies and gun smiths.

It is possible, depending on whether or not the gun was ever a real weapon or designed strictly for blanks. I would leave this to a gunsmith you are asking for trouble by modifying it without the proper training.

An excellent way to get hurt, lose fingers or put out eyes. Don't do it, because that is not what the gun was designed for and it's just a bad idea.

if you are talking about a firearm that is loaded with blank cartridge's and not just a toy, the weapons only modifcation would be to go buy a box of 9mm rounds and load them in to the clip instead of the blanks.
