Here is something that seems to get lost in the whole thing ... The fact is that most scientists accept the validity of evolutionary theory AND believe in God. Charles Darwin was trained to be a preacher and wrote that evolution and belief in God were completely compatible (with evolution contradicting only biblical literalism).

I won't attack evolution, but I will say that if ID isn't science, neither is evolution. But the first think you need to change in your mind is that ID is creationism. They are totally different things. They may agree on some points, but they are not the same. ID is science, and uses the scientific method. Of course, evolution believers do the same thing you claim ID proponents do. No matter what they see, it always seems to be evolution causing it. They never say that evolution couldn't do that, it's just always assumed. If you want a good book on why ID is science, read the one listed below. Please don't tell me you won't because the author lies, as I can say the same thing about the authors you trust. If you really want to know what ID is all about, and why evolution can't stand up to the same scrutiny, read the book. Also, ID does not attack anything. It's simply looking for design in nature. It has nothing to do with religion or creation, although it agrees that a creator must be out there. However, it has no idea who the creator is. It's just as valid a science as forensics, reverse engineering, SETI and cryptology. The only difference is they are applying the science to biology, which makes some people uncomfortable. Just because you don't like the possible implications of something, doesn't make it non-science. Evolution also has metaphysical implications, but nobody seems to have a problem with that. I can't do the question justice in this small space, but the book I mentioned will give you a more complete answer. Thanks for the thoughtful question. Oh, and every time you hear someone saying something derogatory about ID, just apply that to evolution, and you will see why it's just projection.

b/c calling intelligent design a scientific theory is a purely american idea that the rest of the world mocks severely. maybe intelligent design is real but it still is not a scientific theory.
have you ever considered that God works through scientific methods?

because Intelligent Design isn't science, its more of a philosophical arguement and therfore belongs in a philosophy/civics classroom, not a science classroom
I have nothing against it as a theory but it isn't a scientific theory, and thats the key word there

HAHAH that is so satirical.
However on the off chance that you are serious, let me remind you that there is no scientific proof that there is "Intelligent Design", but plenty of proof for evolution.

They were brain-washed since hi-school to believe in chance. If you consult a doctor who made just 1 correct guess of his patients' illnesses would you trust him?

Don't let a few hold outs bother you.
Stick to your guns. Or rocks. Or Dinosaur clubs?
Or whatever you people use.
