have two the same but only one keeps gaining time, after two weeks it has gained almost 1/2 hour. both ae pluged in to the power on seperate plugs

Some clocks get their "clock" using the phase of the power line.
It could be something with the power outlet or the clock it self.
Swap the clocks. If the "good" clock starts gaining and the "bad" clock works OK, then there is a problem with your power, if not, then there is a problem with the other clock.

the problem is internal to the clock. it will have nothing to do with the plug. im not sure exactly how your clock works though so i cant tell you why.
