I am afraid that flying in a plane is like a ride.Is this true?I can't handle a merry go round even.?

Since an airplane will carry you from one place to another, it is literally your ride between those two places.

If you are comparing the experience to a ride in an amusement park, then it is very different. There is the rush of the take-off, but after that all large aircraft, unless they encounter turbulence in the air, are very comfortable and quiet. You can walk about the cabin just as easily as you would walk across the floor at home.
