Based on UNFCCC guidelines, each member country has established its on Designated National Authorities (DNA) which is responsible for arranging funds and carrying out different projects in this sector, Many of the member states has also established their own Clean Development Mechanism Cells (CDM) to reduce greenhouse gases. Beside this Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, www.ipcc.ch), established under UNFCCC is also working on scientific, social and policy research to study scientific basis, impact assessment, mitigation and adaptation of global warming.
