Yes, I went to S. Carolina to pick up my brother from boot camp when we got a flat tire. The next morning a man at a garage around our hotel checked the tire for us and fixed it even though he wasn't on the clock yet, so he fixed it basically for free. I left him 20 dollars for lunch for the shop and sent him a thank you card when I got home for the hospitality.

Pay it forward. Do a favor for someone else, make a donation to a charity in their name (or anonymously if you don't know it)...there a lot of things you could do.
It's a nice gesture to want to do this.
