I agree. The people that are crossing the border unlawfully shouldn't take 100% of the blame. Greedy American corporations exploit those people in order to keep their pockets full of cash. A lot of people have mentioned this though. I think a lot Americans would like to see heavy fines for employers who hire illegals... which would make more sense than boycotting because fines would make it more affordable to just hire American citizens over illegals anyway.

Because illegal immigrants are cheap labor. The customer (generally) pays less for services that are done by immigrants. There is also the fact that the customers don't know that the people are illegal and it would be racist and wrong to go around labeling every mexican-in-appearance person an illegal immigrant.
and there are many americans who just don't care. You might also consider the fact that it may be impossible to emigrate LEGALLY into the united states from mexico. the mexican government often does not allow it; so the only way to get here is illegally. I am not saying it is right, I am saying that this is the way it is.

There is nothing wrong with that idea at all, in fact it's been going on for quite some time already, just not publicized.
And to further answer your question, the "real problem" is our government's lack of enforcement of the existing laws.
After the last bunch of illegal;s were given amnesty, instead of cracking down on the illegal entry, the government went right back to sleep, knowing it was just the beginning.

Boycotting would require knowing who's really employing illegals, and short of auditing thier payroll and checking greencards, you can't do that. Sure, you could glance around and see if anyone looks mexican or asian, but they could well be legal, or even citizens (while the place with all white people could be employing illegals from eastern europe).

I'd like to see a list, if there is one let me know, I've been boycotting the ones I've seen on TV where the cops have gone in and arrested people but I'd like to see a complete list so I can do as much as I can to make my feelings known. We should absolutely boycott these companies and put the business owners behind bars immediately.

The "Day without an Immigrant" march last year was very helpful (and it was a wonderful peaceful day too). I've been boycotting all businesses that closed for the march.

Basically, cause the "man" is keeping us down. Can you take a day off to picket and boycott? I can't; I have rent, food, electricity, gas, water, health insurance, and car insurance that must be paid. Do you have enough money to shop somewhere more expensive simply because they don't hire illegals. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to tell my family we can only afford to eat 5 out of 7 days this week because of my intense hate for illegal immigration. That's just the way it is.
I hate (cannot stress that enough) illegal immigration, but many of us simply cannot do anything about it cause we have to take care of our own.

It's like the war on drugs - no serious action against users here, just running around blaming the rest of the world for our drug culture, which is unique to the U.S.
