I have a daughter she is 7...
she wants to be an artist and I am planing to send her to an art school as she is very good at drawing...
she is half Türk and half English so I give her freedom to choose nationality and religion when she is old enough she can pick where her heart belongs, leaving them all up to her...
I am a single parent as my husband died when my daughter was a baby but still I think she will have a very bright future, will feel safe and secure, loved and very special....

I have a daughter. She is 23 and a half. I have already educated her. I think she has learned a few things from me and her mother (my wife). She is not prejudiced against race, colour, nationality, religious belief etc. She respects others and the laws (we need them to have some order).
As for her formal education, she finished Turk Maarif Koleji (an English medium highschool in Cyprus). Then she went to university in Belgium for two years. She couldn't live alone there (people are not friendly) and she transferred to a local university (Eastern Mediterranean Uni) where she got her B.A. in Int. Relations (3.05 CGPA). Last year she completed her Master of Arts degree program at Uni of Kent, Canterbury UK, in EU Governance. We went to watch her get her diploma inside the historical Canterbury Cathedral.
She is now looking for a job in the government (not much hope). She's been working at a broadband internet company since March.

I imagine a beautiful future like I finished the university, found a good job, married with a wonderful person and had wonderful children, for myself :-) And I educate myself by reading, searching and talking with foreign people about different cultures etc.
And if I have that wonderful children one day, I will always try to make them happy but strong too in the life.Also they will grow up in love but I will make them to see the realities of the world too.I won't buy everything for them but I will teach them to help people..

i don't have any children
but if i had i would do my best for them. i alwatys think that a child should be better than her/his parents. when i say better , mean in terms of job, education, income and so on...
i would try to provide anything but of course they are the ones who will decide for their own future.
i agree with tanju, i think his answer explains pretty much everything what parents can do about their children

dear friend, put ur feet in ur children shoe, and think can a father decide their children's future.
he can only provide good livelihood, Moral education and good values of life, then its upto the children where they want to go in their life.
yes u can educate them by telling good practical stories. stories have very stronge effect on human mind.

Decision up to her. Maybe interesting art, maybe musician, maybe teacher ...
It does not important...To be Happy, To doing something which is loved, much more important ...

i have a son who is going to be 5 in two months. I was 19 when i had him and it was scary at begining to think how to deal with everything. well we grow up together and i try to do best for him . most important i want him to be a real man who can stand up for himself . He is a very smart boy. i know he will do the best.
