There are many different ways to do this. Some use a calming insense to relax them, others also use soothing music. But they key is that you sit down and relax. Close your eyes and clear your mind out. Not just of the ordinary stuff, but everything. Lose yourself to the music or the smell so that you can be at peace for as long as you can concentrate.

I am Muslim and pray 5 times a day. For me that is meditation and it helps me a lot with my stress and depression.

Depends on what KIND of meditation you're seeking. The Buddhist version, which I do, if you care, you can found out about at www.buddhanet.net

I use the Buddhist version. but what matters is to work at it, it takes some time to learn what works for you. You will find your way and you will benefit from and enjoy the experience.

quiet room, candles or dimly lit room, deep breathing and reflections with yourself about you and GOD if you choose. you can just sit there with your eyes closed and think about things or not, make sure you have uninterrupted time, at least 20 minutes. you will feel refreshed...... good luck
