I have a question. If Adam and Eve would have never sinned, would they have had children through sexual reproduction? or would all people on the earth have been created from the dust of the earth? I wonder this because God told the animals to be fruitful and multiply, but I dont think he told it to Adam and Eve, at least not when he first created them. Also, they didnt desire the other until after they had sinned. Plus, that's when pain in bearing children started. Any Bible scholars who might know the answer to this?

OK LIVING . First off the earth had lots of people on it long before Adam and eve. They were the races created on the 6th day. Adam and eve were created AFTER the 7th day (ie 8th day). Genesis 1 verses 27 -- 31 and genesis 2 verses 1 --25.
Everyone on earth were reproducing sexually . God said he would greatly increase your pains in childbearing. Which means there was already pain in childbearing. And you can tell moshing that The sons of Adam and eve took the women that were created on the 6th day as described in Genesis 1 v 26 & 27 to wife. There was no incest involved !!!

I think that the moral of the story is that people must sin. Without sin humanity would have died-off. The question that is raised is what is good sin and what is bad sin. Because Adam and Eve sinned they where given the means to continue the existence of mankind. Therefore lust is a good sin. When Cain killed Able he was given the torture of living as an old man for some 900 years. Therefore murder is a bad sin.
Some day I'll tell you the true story of the forbidden apple. That one will knock your socks off.

Interesting notion. God told all of the animals to be fruitful and multiply, but told woman that if she tried it would be everlasting hell for all of her descendants. There does seem to be an inconsistency. I wonder if there will be any more responses than that god works in mysterious ways.

God told them to be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth. They were created to reproduce, and fill the earth, so it was done by sex.
They did have attraction for each other, as Adam named her. Before that , he didn't have an help meet.

God did command Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth. That is where the dilemma cam in. They couldn't do that without partaking of the forbidden fruit and by doing so were cast out. It was a catch 22. By fulfilling all of God's commandments they were cast out and gave birth to the human race.

Of all the nutty books in the bible, Genesis is one of the nuttiest. none of makes any sense at all. for example Adam and Eve had two sons right, so where did their wives come from, there were suddenly tribes of people every were. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. However if you want an explanation of the story I suggest you ask someone that is Jewish, it is their story. The Christan view is distorted.

I think without sin we would still reproduce the same way but would only do it for the sake of reproduction, not for enjoyment, like most animals.

maybe what the bible meant is sex wasn't a sin because man at that time was like a animal and did not know the difference between good and evil. And why is sex a sin anyways?

and i believe that they still would becuz in Genesis after they had sinned God says to Eve "I will increase your pains in childbearing"
There had to be childbearing before God could increase the pain in it right?
