You learn something new every day. I would have never thought someone could be pagan AND atheist.
I can't say I'm typical in anything I do. Not just my faith.
I am highly involved in my faith. It makes me sad that so many are there just as a Sunday activity.
Being so highly involved I'm always learning. Conferences, books, bible study. Then I come here and bug all YOU guys who ask questions!
Wheeee!
I'd like to add to your fear of the number 13 by making an odd revelation. One of my most beloved friends before he passed away last year was George Lutz.
Yeah? So? Who's he? you ask...
The Amityville Horror ring any bells?
Yeah. But didn't they prove that a hoax? you ask...
Nope. There is TONS of evidence to support the Lutzes. The only folks who don't believe are those who've never spoken with them.
So... Martin Luther King was murdered just 13 days after he visited Rockville Center which is just 13 miles from "the" house in Amityville.
The house's number is 112. People say One Twelve. One and Twelve equal 13.
The Lutzes bought the house 13 months after the murders.
I've got more. We did a "13" count at some time. But I've forgotten most.

I don't know. What would the "typical" Christian be like?
Some random facts:
I enjoy wine with my dinner, I LOVE gothic rock, I smoke cigarettes (my last bad habit), and I was an atheist or a skeptic for most of my life, minus the five (almost six) years I was Wiccan.
Don't like Nascar, prefer German beer if I drink beer at all, not from the South, love learning other languages, hate most country music, am big on animal rights, and I'm still skeptical of some things about the Bible.
Typical Christian? Maybe. But I haven't met many Christians like me!

I don't know what is the typical agnostic?
I read a lot - especially books about politics, sociology, history, psychology and science.
I don't fear anything except hypodermic needles (very bad childhood experiences).
I want a boa constrictor but my husband won't let me have one (he's the one afraid of snakes!).

I'm a pagan Taoist atheist, very slightly manic-depressive sometimes, I have subclinical hypothyroidism for which I am on medication, I get tension headaches, and I adore my children and husband and extended family except my evil sister.
I look normal, I act normal, but I'm not normal. Which is normal. I'm from CA.

I would say that I am on the outer fringe in my religion. Unlike many in my faith that I know, I have studied many other religions other than mine own.
