Because it is not a felony to cross the border in addition it would not work. In Los Angeles all an illegal needs to do is go to McArthur park cough up 50 bucks and bam! You have a California ID and some poor schmucks' social security number. Really it would not work UNLESS you have a lot of sting operations and heavily penalize this type of fraud and in addition make employers verify ID and Socials.

SANTA FE, N.M. -- The Santa Fe Police Department is having trouble filling police jobs, so it is looking into the possibility of recruiting Mexican nationals.

Sergeants Gillian Alessio and Marvin Paulk are in charge of the department's recruiting and training.

They said on Tuesday that they're trying to think of alternative methods of filling 20 vacancies on the city's 155-person police force.

But Santa Fe Police Chief Eric Johnson said New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy regulations prohibit non-citizens from serving as police officers.

Alessio said the Santa Fe police force, like others around the country, is vying to recruit the same 21- to 30-year-olds as the U.S. military.

Alessio said the national need for military recruits is taking a toll on the police department.

How many criminals do you think are in jail today that have children? How many children are in foster homes because their parents are in jail?? How many judges do you think allow criminals go home dismissing their charges because they have children? Same principle.

How many American children do you think have lost a parent or a brother or a sister due to being killed on purpose or on accident by illegal aliens that SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE ANYWAY?
