Jesus answered "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6-7

Mary cannot be mediator for you. You are praying to someone that is not hearing your thoughts because the only way to God is through Jesus. Pray to Him! Ask Jesus for forgivness.

Is there any other reason to pray to someone else?

Yes. 1 Tim. 2:5: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus."

We don't pray to Jesus or Mary. At Matt. 6:9, Jesus said: "You must pray, then, this way: 'Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.'"

Our prayers are directed to Jehovah through Jesus.

Yes, there most certainly is a reason to pray to somebody else, because Jesus told us to! He told His followeres on several occasions that He was going to leave, but that He would send another to show them the way. The other is the Spirit of truth who Jesus said lives within us. She is the only one qualified to instruct us in rightousness. Except the Spirit show us we cannot know! Everyone born of the Spirit of truth knows that the god of Moses was satan. As long as you believe that the god of the o.t. is the Father of Jesus you will not be able to distinguish good from evil.

Praying to the mother of the King, Mary (King Jesus) is scriptural. The scriptural old testament is the law of Moses, not Genesis-Malachi.
The mother of the King, (Bathsheba) did not personnally 'make the decision', she simply acted on another's behalf (Adonojah?spelling) to the King (Solomon).

Being the Catholic's advocate again: Why do you care who advocates for them or not? If they're not causing you harm nor suffering, leave them alone and let them do the same for you. I would think it's rather unkind to claim you are the only one who has the angle on "truth". Mary would be a great candidate as "intercessor" to her SON while she always points TO him, according to Catholic teaching, so just let it alone already, please.

There's no reason to pray to anybody.

An old book with stories about someone who supposedly died decades earlier is not a reason to pray to the person. Jesus, if he existed, is just another dead guy.

God doesn't exist, either. That's all just superstition. Prayer is a way for someone to feel good about doing something, without actually having to do anything.

One man with a hammer can do more good than a billion people praying.

only if we think that traditions of men in this case the teachings of the Catholic church system are above the word of God which they are not but its difficult for a Catholic to accept that fact.

Amen. I'm happy that there's someone here who wants to stand for the truth. Catholics waste most of their time praying to mary, that's sad, really sad.
Thank You for sharing
May God bless You!

Vanity, vanity, all is vanity !

And there is no new thing under the sun.

Eccliastes the Preacher ( Solomon )

Fat lot of good all that 'wisdom' did him ! ;-)

( NB I am not mocking your choice of name here, on the contrary, I find old Solly's scribblings one of the few tolerable books of the Bible. :-) )
