Is there a commandment that says thou shalt love your neighborhood gay people? I am a Christian with relatives and friends who are homosexual. I am not homosexual. To believe in God and to serve Him according to the Holy Bible I can not personally condone homosexuality. You have a choice to be what you are...God never forced anyone, and I would not force you to change either. If you want to claim a true belief and love for Christ, you have to live accordingly. Being Homosexual is outside of the parameters of living according to the Bible. I pray for people who refuse to acknowledge the part they play in being what they are...it's a crutch to say you were made that way. There are ways to become natural practicers of sexuality...I am not referring to removing parts you were born with, or adding parts that you were not born with. There are those who were born with both...I am not referring to those either. I am talking about those people who have become homosexual or bisexual because someone molested them when they were young...you don't have to go that way. The person who did what they did to you should be held accountable, and if the law won't do it in order to protect 'gay rights' God will do it on Judgment Day. Jesus said that the people who harm the little ones are better off with a millstone tied around their necks and thrown into the sea....
Those who truly have done these kinds of things should not be exonerated for "freeing you" from heterosexual normal relationships.

How did you steal the power of omniscience from God? Wasn't He looking? How on earth do you suppose to know what I think? And this is surely the clincher for the soundness of your logic:
The statistics produced by the church and these moral groups do not match the governments [sic for the missing apostrophe] statistics which means the Church and the moral groups lied.
Really? I would say that someone, or perhaps both of them are mistaken. The other question is, what method did you use to compile your data on how the churches gathered statistics? Did you verify your methodology with a statistician?
I don't hate anyone. Period.
Incidentally, who is the "WE" in this statement:
We all know that the old line about "loving everyone and just trying to show gay people the right path" is just a line to cover up your hate.
*We* don't all know that; in fact, unless you know every Christian on earth - gasp! You must be God!

Lighten up Francis, If you will, I would like to offer my 2 cents as a Christian. God said the reason for being gay is because they are / were Idolaters. I not sure I want to believe that it is in fact a lifestyle choice. I believe that they are born to this. Are they damned to hell. No way ! Anyone born of woman has as much chance of going to heaven as anyone else because the same rules for getting to heaven applies to gays as well . The bible abhors acts of homsexuality. Why ?Because they are unatural . So let me ask you this. Are these unnatural acts any more unnatural than some of the acts between a man and a woman ? The difference is that a man and woman can clean up their act and then everything is cool. But the gays have a problem in that respect. The only sex left for them is to switch to the opposit sex (ain't gonna happen) or do that which is unnatural. It is a lousy situation to be sure!!
The only thing I can say is that trying to abstain is the best. Now here is where the playing field is leveled a bit. Heterosexual man is not allowed sex out of wedlock . To do so is a grevious sin. There are some scenarios that make marrige not an option. So in that respect Gays and nongays are in the same boat, abstinance! Or at least keep it as clean as possible. And that advice goes for straights too. There is no pretense here , I am speaking straight from the heart. I believe that more Christians will agree to this than you think.

Most liberal groups have a distorted view of hate. There are many who think that If someone disagrees with another persons behavior, that is hatred. That is not the case. Also expecting people to accept the consequenses of their choices is not hatred either. Being gay is a choice, it is not a way you were born, it is a choice. When will people admit that? When will homosexuals and other liberals admit that they are making a choice?
I don't think that I am hateful. I think that homosexual people have a right to have jobs and own homes just like everything else. I also believe that a proper family consist of a mother-female and a Father- male who love and care for each other and are married to each other. My heart hurts when children have to be raised by a single parent. They deserve to have a loving home with a mother and father who are married.
If I choose to remain single for the rest of my life, then in turn I choose not to raise children- because that is not healthy for the kids. That is the consequence of my choice. If I choose to be gay- then in turn I choose not to be married and have children. That is the consequence of their choice. If I choose to buy a car without all the fancy features of another car, then I can't complain that it does not have those options. that is the consequence of my choice. If I choose to move to another country, I can't complain that I gave up freedoms I love in America. If I choose to stay in bed all day and not go to work, then i can't complain when the boss fires me. I may think it is unfair and hateful, but that is the consequence of my actions. Every choice has a consequence- we can choose the choice but we can't choose the consequence. I wish people would stop trying to take away the consequences, and start accepting responsibility for their behavior. That is not hateful, that is life, that is being an adult.

You know, I hear that crap all the time. I also hear that we are "threatened by" and "fear" homosexuals. That is totally ludicrous.
And it is always Christians that are on the receiving end of that BS. Check out what Muslims think of homosexuality, or Jews.
You are pathetic and that is not hate it is a statement of fact. Not because you are homosexual but because you won't accept responsibility for your choice.
I don't know what "stats" you checked or what they referred too, but here is another bubble buster for you: government stats are just as skewed as any others.
And then there is the one undeniable truth regarding homosexuality; it is not something one is born with, there is no "Gay Gene." It is a chosen lifestyle not an inborn trait. Notice I did not say "freely chosen" there are indications that environmental factors from a very early age on bear on the "choice". Be that as it may it is still a choice.
Now why can't homosexuals deal with that?

Why should I admit something that isn't true? Speak for yourself, but don't presuppose to speak for others.
If we hate gay people just because we think that they are living in sin, then I suppose that you will say that we hate alcoholics, druggies, fornicators, liberals, and jay walkers too.
The real fact is that gay people hate us because they disagree with our beliefs.
BTW, I am not sure what "statistics" you are referring to, so there is no way to tell if YOU are telling the truth or not, but it is always true that different groups will often come up with different numbers for the same thing (like estimating crowd size at a protest march, for example, or estimating how many people have AIDS) because they use different methods to estimate their numbers.

I don't think you really want to talk about breaking commandments do you. You have read the book and know the rules. Why blame someone else for your short-comings.
I am a Christian--I believe homosexuality is a sin--when you can bring me Scientific white pages proving that homosexuality is a dna (or genetic)problem. I;ll believe you. That leaves the onus on Science. Is homosexuality a birth defect? Is homosexuality a choice? Bring me proof.

Um... Cause I don't. My priest , my kid's Sunday school teacher, and many members of the congregation of my church are gay. I don't hate any of them. I am also bi.
Why do you label all Christians as homophobes when that is simply not the case?
Hating Christians as a whole is just as blind and wrong as hating all gays. You need to see people as individuals, not groups of labels of whether to hate or not.

Something that you and many others do not understand is that we do not hate homosexuals, it's the sin of homosexuality that we hate, it is an abomination and very unclean.
Because we do not accept the sin then automatically most seem to think "we hate that person".
We hate the sin not the sinner, get it right!

Not all do, just the loud ones. But your angst is understandable. "Love the sinner, hate the sin" is tacit bigotry plain and simple. The most judgmental and undeservedly arrogant Christians tend to be the best at shrouding hatred in Biblical drivel.
