Some suggestions:
Hire a shuttle service: http://www.avipanaheim.com/Sixflags.html
www.supershuttle.com
http://www.transtarshuttle.com/
Get a friend to drive you: Frankly, this is your best alternative. Find a family friend who can drive you. Preferably, get several friends to chip in for gas and a ticket for the driver. That way, it's faster than the other opions, and you have the most flexibility.
Take Amtrak to LA's Union Station, Metrolink to Santa Clarita, then a bus to SFMM.

It will take some time but public transit can get you there. I would recommend first doing this on a weekday and secondly planning on staying the night at an area motel due to the extensive travel time involved. Heres what to do; Start on the NCTD breeze system (the specific route will depend on your exact address) ride to the Oceanside transit center. Then take a Metrolink train to Union station in LA. From there take either Santa Clarita transit route 794/799 to the Mc Bean transit station in Valencia and transfer to line 3 from there which runs to Magic Mountain. Another choice would be to use a second Metrolink train from union station to Newhaul station and connect with Santa Clarita transit route 1,2, 4, 5 or 6 from there to the Mc Bean transit station where again you would transfer to the line 3 bus to Magic Mountain. Good Luck.

If you can get yourself to the metrolink, then you can take the Santa Clarita Transit bus to MM from the metrolink station.
Here's a link below.

jo---- you can eazily get to Santa Clarita (near to Six Flags) from Oceanside on Amtrak and Metro link....(Antelope Valley Line). The trick will be the short connections on the ends of this journey.....You have to get to Oceanside, you know that area better than me..and then you have to get from Santa Clarita to Six Flags.....check with Six Flags and see if they have any kind of a shuttle or bus...

I'm sure Amtrak has stops in both places. Amtrak is not that bad to take. Also there's also the choice of flying. I think Southwest Airlines has a $49 one way deal w/in California, but I'm not so sure anymore. Just take a taxi from the bus stop/airport to your destinations and have fun!

well from Oceanside you can take either Amtrak or Metrolink
(metrolink will be a bit cheaper) you will have to change trains in Los Angele from the Metrolink Orange county line to Antelope
valley line then take Metrolink Antelope valley line (to newhall
then you will catch a SCT bus to MM (remember to hold on your metrolink tickets as its valid fare on the SCT buses

I would call Greyhound Buses first. Or go to their website. Or take a train to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles and then call Supershuttle to take you to Valencia. Or rent a car. The cost would probably be cheaper than a train and greyhound.

Try Expedia. They do have a vacation package, I just looked it up.
Or put an ad on craigslist.org for a ride.
Greyhound may get you to the front door.

That's pretty far - you should see if you could find someone who could drive to take you with them and you could help pay for the gas.
