I definitely think so. Me and my friend met these guys at the movies, and one of em asked her to make out with him, but I never saw the guy because I was focused on finding out what the guy I was sitting by liked to eat for breakfast...ya had to be there haha. So my friend gave me the other guy's screen name and we started talking. I had no clue what he looked like nor he with me, but we had so much in common and I fell hard for his personality. As luck would have it, he decided to transfer from his private school to my school (not because of me) so I finally got to meet him, and he was hott. But back then I had a really hard time talking to guys I liked, so we never dated, but we're still really good friends. And I'll admit, I still have days where I really regret not talking to him. Hopefully you'll do better than me if you ever meet the guy you fell for. =D

I'M IN THE SAME SITUATION AS YOU! I met him more than a year ago but for 10 months i ignored him because i was intimidated by the look on his face and thought he might be a bad apple. so far he has proven me wrong and we have been talking online since march. i never expected him to come into my life and then re-appear once again. now if he has been honest with me he should have no problem winning over my parents who will get upset that i was taking to a man a year older to me without their knowledge and i hope his parents like me. i love him for him and i hope he really loves me. i'm the first woman he's fallen in love with.

That probably depends on how YOU define love...as far as knowing what that persons like and dislikes ..how they respond to situations in life...knowing how responsible they are in life (things that nuture real love) i dont think you can truly understand these things about a person and thus LOVE them without personal contact....
