You should use a straight iron.....I swear! I have not so great hair and using the straight iron makes it soft and silky. You should also try biosilk shine spray.
If you do try the iron you should condition your hair really well.
I know alot of people will tell you that it will just damage your hair but the way i look at it is Id rather walk around with pretty soft hair that may be damaged instead of never having a good hair day. By the way the only 'side effect' Ive had is.......hmmmm none. My hair is still in the same condition as it was before I began straightening it.

Joico K-pak shampoo & conditioner are the best for dry hair.
Consider using a clarifying shampoo to remove product build up which can make hair frizzy. Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is my favorite.
Recipe for homemade hair mask: mash 1/2 of a ripe avocado & add a few drops of olive oil. Apply to your hair & leave in for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.

I had that happen to me after I got a perm when I was 12. It is very frustrating. But I will share with you what I was told by my stylist...
First, use a ph balanced shampoo/conditioner. Make sure that you are not over-processing your hair. If you blow dry, use a defuser.
A nice hair serum is a good option to help maintain the frizz, you can use a detangler for babies after showering to help detangle your hair. (Spray on/leave in conditioner)
Ask your hairstylist for some inexpensive solutions, or you can ask your local pharmacist. They usually can direct you to the right product for your hair.
If that doesnt work, you can try changing your style to a cute, care-free cut. Getting all the dead ends off and then you can allow your hair to heal. The less products you can use on your hair the better you will be.

You don't have to spend money on a clarifying shampoo just add a little baking soda to your shampoo in your hand(only once not all the time and not if your hair is colored it will strip your color). Don't shampoo everyday it is super drying. Condition and rinse conditioner with cool water(it helps close the hair cuticle) Use a leave in conditioner. Avoid using heat without using heat protection.

Use a sprig in conditioner. it fairly works more beneficial ideal then the wash in style. I used to have the god negative frizz hair. that's curly,,yet i chanced on a mousse helps. I also love a product stated as mattress head large favourite individual. that's think to be utilized in yet differently, yet I positioned about a dime quantity in my palm, pat my palms at the same time and run by all of my damp hair. I artwork it on and rancid untill that's rather a lot dry. do not use a dryer till rather a lot dry. turn your head in the route of the floor, fluff it and then use your palms to style it... that's awsome stuff. pink bottle formed like indented bulb.

also the method of drying your hair has a great effect and you need to have it trimmed regularly to keep it smooth
