There were two illegal Mexicans and it was brought to his attention. The agent looked down and said "I can do nothng"...I am powerless because those two mexicans may be here within the law and if I ask them they can fire me for harrassment. Then the Mexicans stood up and walked by the agent and the poor agent started to shake like a leaf in a wind storm. Why did the agent look and act so scared?

Probably bc its NOT HIS JOB to be asking ANYONE for proof of legal status! He knew he had no authority to do so and if he did there would be some harsh consequences! And you cannot be 100% sure they're illegal bc they look "Mexican"!
