This morning right when I got out of the shower I lifted my towel to dry my hair (sort of quickly) and got an extreme pain suddenly in my neck/left shoulder. It has not yet gone away it hurts very badly especially when I turn my neck past a certain point and look down. I have taken acetaminophen and it helped relieve the pain but not much.

any suggestions?
thanks

use a heating pad on your neck and shoulders For twenty minutes at a time, several times a day. Afterwards massage an analgesic cream into the area. this should start to loosen the tight muscles. Don't try to turn your head very much at this time.

If you can get a massage, I recommend you do that for immediate pain relief. my other suggestion is to see a chiropractor. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.

you know a doctor is your first choice...

heating pad - on your muscle pill
perhaps arthritis caught up to you
therapeutic massage
acupuncture (I used it and it works -pain never came back)
say hello to getting old
