we pay taxes.....(most of us),,,,,those taxes pay for services. those services, education, healthcare, law enforcement.......are being overwhelmed as more illegals flood the system. i can accept your willingness to help others, but in doing so you deny fellow Americans of those services. those services are being compromised, if not shut down completely, by the sheer volume of people requesting those services, and the massive increase is due to illegals entering the US.
if you think the US can afford to pay for anyone who happens to make it past border control,,,just look at our national debt......and ask yourself, if we have so much money, why are we $8,825,726,320,162.57 in debt?

I don't want my tax dollars to go to help illegals. I don't know anyone who does...except for those Senators who drew up the cockamamie immigration bill.

Well...they have to go towards something....
I don't think it's fair to blame national debt purely on immigrants. We've pretty much been in debt since the beginning, but the debt took on a new life in the 1930's because FDR spent a lot of money to try and kickstart the economy during the depression. He created a lot of programs designed to try to create jobs and protect workers on the job list.
And you can't talk about the national debt unless you talk about how much money we spend on the military each year. We're talking about hundreds of millions of dollars on defense spending which FAR overshadows ANY money spent on immigrant relief.
I know one place I'd like to stop spending on...maybe you should get your priorities straight.
EDIT: By the way, where did your family immigrate from?

I do not and wish I could stop paying taxes. I have a friend that is a paramedic. On his last 24 hour shift, he responded to 4 medical calls and they were all illegal aliens. In total they received about $120,000.00 in medical care. There is no chance of the ambulance firm or the hospital to recover those costs. Amazing.

not sure about US paying for illegals,all I can say is we need to remove those in office who vote to give them a free ride and free citizenship.It is time the politicians do what the people want and not the corporations that give them money and this includes dems and repubs the dems want to give everything away and raise our taxes to pay for it i say &^$%$3 let the rich dems pay for it out of their pockets kind of like al gore the bore and his carbon credits,real big *^%$# joke and if bush signs this amnisty bill he need to be removed from office like right nowalong with any senators who vote for this bill Americans wake up time to let your voice be heard and your votes remove those who do not represent the people or accept what you get and be sheepals

I don't and I do more about it than some people, I write to my politicians and express my opinions to let them know I am against the illegal alien legislature that is unfair to the real Americans and overloading our society. Write to your politicians!
