find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

get a pedometer--wear it for a week to see how much you usually walk around. Then every day after that, try to go farther than the day before. Use averages also, so one 'lazy' day doesn't feel like a failure--just encourages you to be more active the next day so your weekly average will be up where you want it. Doesn't matter where you start--just do better and better.
Also, eat smaller portions of healthy food. Really, exercise and fewer calories are the only way to lose. Don't try to lose too fast and make sure to keep it off--yo-yo weight is very bad for you! Also, think about what is causing the problem with weight, are you eating when feeling bored, lonely, depressed, etc? Then look for REAL solutions, because eating will make you feel better but only for a few minutes. Doing something more positive will last a lot longer! Good Luck!

Weigh yourself on one of those coin operated scales that tell you how many calories you need each day to maintain your present weight and how many you need to get down to your normal weight. Make sure you don't eat more than the highest amount when you cheat on your diet; and the rest of the time try to eat only what you would have to eat to avoid gaining if you were already at your normal weight. That's what people of normal weight have to do all the time to stay slender. Quit calling it a diet. That makes it sound like punishment. Eating more than you should is what's really punishment. Why continue punishing yourself? Just start eating the amount of calories you should have been eating all along. It won't be enough to maintain your overweight status and you will gradually lose the excess pounds automatically.
START COUNTING CALORIES. Pay attention to what you are doing. When you learn to drive, you intend to watch where you are going, don't you?
Best wishes. You can do it. I did.
As for exercise, walk instead of riding. It's safe, natural, and enjoyable. Quit sitting in front of the TV. Get up and do something. You're a teenager. Act like one. And quit worrying about a few extra pounds. You make it sound like you're a hundred pounds over-weight... which is what I was. And why are you in a hurry? You've got your whole life ahead of you. Enjoy the trip.

You have to keep your heart rate high at say a 30 min to 45 min cardio exercise routine (ie...running, peddling a bicycle, running up a flight of stairs, exercise machines at your local gym) something to keep you active. It is a slow healthy process, it is not the weight, but the fat you want to lose. So dropping 22 pounds may not be a healthy weight for you. Take the process in short goals...judge it by on how you look and feel as you reach your goal.
good luck

Alot of my weight is on my thighs too. I just lost alot of weight and i will fill you in on my weightloss secrets so that i can maybe help you. I stopped eating candy and sweetsand replaced them with heathy snacks like fruit and vegies. Drink water and let go of the fatty sugary juices. Replace them with water and drink 100% juice, that is better for you. It was really hard in the begining but then it was easy and i didnt have the taste for the stuff anymore. I focused on what I would like and what i could do without all the weight that i had. example: i pictured a skinny figure of me in a bikini. And what helped me too with dieting was my mom. If you have someone who can diet with you that would be great. try to get your whole family to diet with you so you can have plenty of support and everyone will benifit from the diet. Clean out your cabnits. get rid of fatty foods, candy, and sweets. Eat less and dont try to snack. Have less proportions and if you absolutely need a snack eat a healthy snack. Walk! I found that walking was an easy and great way to get exerzize. make your family walk with you or bring a friend. it is always easier that way. and if you talk while you walk you stop focusing on (sometimes) pain. you shouldnt hurt that bad but if you really hurt something is wrong.
This worked for me and remember, LOVE WHO YOU ARE RIGHT NOW! DONT FORGET YOUR PERSONALITY AND DONT GET TOO CAUGHT UP IN YOUR LOOK, THAT COULD LEAD TO ANEREXIA! buy clothes that fit you now not later, this depleats you selfasteam and you could not end up at the size you wanted.
Good luck, hope i helped.

get a hefty trash bag(unused of course), cut a hole out for the head, and 2 holes for the arms, put it on underneath a hooded sweatshirt. put sweats on and kick it in a sauna for a 1/2 hour a day
you will probably want lotion cuz all that sweating can dry out the skin
also, take some stimulants and work out...wrap saran wrap(glad doesnt stick) around the waistline for each work out
Colon cleansing programs can also do u good.
if you want to tone down the legs, 8 minute legs is a good dvd...really works..as does 8 minute abs

cut out sodas & replace with water. Stay away from chips & stuff, but don't starve yourself. Walk around the neighborhood several times a day. Jump rope, jumping jacks ( at least 30 reps 2x a day to start) sit ups, etc. but believe me when I say replace soda with water
