Here are a few that are good: Solid Gold, Wellness, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics, Innova Evo, California Natural and Artemis Fresh Mix, there are several more but these are really good. They may be a bit pricey initially but they come out cheaper because you feed less. These are 100% human grade dog food with NO corn, wheat, soy, grain fractions, fillers or by products – and naturally preserved.

Of these foods I think Canidae is good for you. It is not too expensive and as it was mentioned it is an all stage food so no need to switch once the pup becomes an adult. Remember that even though other dog foods may be less expensive you have to feed more to get the same nutrition as the better foods so the cheaper foods actually cost more to feed.

In terms of price, the truth is unfortunate in dog food. U get what u pay for, for the most part. thats why grocery store food has more cheap fillers. corn soy and wheat are not only nutritionally insignificant, they are common allergens for dogs. tends to reason, more protein ingredients will cost more and more grain or filler ingredients will cost less.

Check out only natural pet food store online and LQQK at the ingredients, or go to several dog food lines own websites and study the ingredient lists. try to stay away from what is KNOWN as common allergens, NO byproducts, coz its disgusting what makes it into dog food. Use common sense and choose the BEST food for what u can spend. It just takes your time and energy to research. just bcoz its a good food doesnt mean it will agree with your dog, so do the best u can and have a back up in mind.

Check out the Canidae.. It's not that expensive at all..
None of the ingredients are imported, it's Human Grade.. NO wheat, no corn.. Great food.. I am actually shocked how much less our dogs actually eat.. Getting their nutrition out of alot less food..

Forget Iams, Beneful, All Purina, Eukanuba, Kibbles n Bits, Ol Roy, Pedigree, Science Diet etc.. They are all garbage foods that are preserved with cancer causing BHA/BHT or ethoxyquin, or cancer causing dyes, or use a Synthetic Vitamin K which makes the body not be able to normally use K from other sources. Horrible foods..

Some of them have sugars that your dog gets hooked on, making you feel like he loves the food, and it's a horrible addiction to something that is dangerous and causes diabetes

Good Quality dogfood, might seem like it costs more but they actually eat far less and get their nutrition easier from the quality foods.

IMO, it is suited to purchase the suited canines nutrition you've got the money for and canines meals manufacturers like Purina, pedigree, Ol Roy, Iams, technological awareness nutrition plan, Nutro and etc, are rubbish in a bag. despite if it is obtainable on your section Diamond Naturals canines nutrition is sweet and is very priced, purely the Naturals. Petsmart has a nutrition spoke of as Authority harvest Baked it is sweet, additionally they carry Nature's recipe, which isn't undesirable. those at the instant are not the suited yet are greater suited than the manufacturers listed above. If she is feeding Iams then she could desire to in all risk have the money for Canidae as a results of fact it would not value that particularly greater and it genuinely finally ends up being greater low priced in view which you feed much less. additionally it is an all degree nutrition so there is not any could desire to alter meals as quickly as the canines turns into an grownup. Canidae is definitely one in each and every of the suited meals to feed.

Asking dog people about dog food is really opening up a can of worms. We all have our favorites based on the health and condition of our dogs. What works for some is a disaster for others. I fed a totally raw diet for years and noticed my dogs coat quality and muscle suffered dramatically after nearly 3 years. Some people think corn is the worst food in the world yet mostly all livestock eat it and eventually become our food at the dinner table--or the food for the dogs on a raw meat diet.

So, what do I feed to my toy dogs? I have fed Purina Pro Plan for years but a few years back tried Exceed Performance Chicken and Rice available at Sam's Club in 44 pound bags only. I think it is roughly $27.00 per bag. It is a high protein, higher fat food for active dogs, but my little Papillons have thrived on it for 3 years now--every age from the youngest puppies to the 12 year old senior citizen who is still used for breeding. I am very pleased with the results.

Canidea....Very good food, a little more expensive but what people don't realize is they don't save any money buying cheap food....there are so many fillers in cheap food that you have to feed you dog twice as much of it and the crap more....good food you feed half as much and they crap less....for example.....Pedigree calls for feeding a 50-70lb dog 3-5 cups a day, Canidea call for 1-2 cups a day....less fillers and more good stuff.....so you are not spending anymore money in the long run...and you will have less poo to clean up in the yard.

I use Chicken Soup brand. It is priced decently (I pay somewhere around $7-8 for a 6 pound bag), pretty easy to find, and is still a nutritionally high-quality dog food without a bunch of fillers and byproducts.

Any dog food you can buy in a grocery store is pure garbage, full of fillers so you have to feed them more. Then they just poop it all out. So your not saving anything.

A quality, AFFORDABLE food is Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul. It's not full of fillers, etc.

Anything by PUrina is garbage and so is Iams and Eukenuba. All you have to do is read the ingredients.

I was going through he same thing last year when I got my puppy. Do I give her the standard supermarket stuff (no) do I make him a home cooked meal (no, they need a vey balanced diet in the right proportions, and let's face it, I don't do it fo myself) or do I go with the expensive "designer food" (My food doesn't cost that much!)

A friend of mine reccomended Bil Jac (They sell at petco and petsmart) and my dog, Stella, loves it! I told my vet what she was eating (brought the side of the bag, so he could see the ingredients), and he told me that it was very good.

You can go online and check them out.

I hope your puppy brings you as much joy as my Stella has given me!

i am not going to tell u that i know of a dog food like this. the truth is that u arent going to find a really good quality dog food for a really cheap price. most of the ones people r naming on here arent as good as they claim to be. for example purina. main ingredients r corn soybean meal and ground wheat flower. those r fillers and that is what causes purina to be so cheap. so ur best bet is to search for good dog foods. always check the ingredients. if the first one isnt a meat it probably isnt a very nutritious meal for ur dog. also go to ur local pet store and ask for advice
