What are your favourite sweets/chocolate from your childhood. There are still some that you can buy even now. Like sherbet fountains and red liquorice, black jacks. My favourite of all was American Cream soda with a black liquorice to dip in. Mmmm.

I used to love sherbert dabs which I think is your sherbert fountain - Sometimes you got a lolly in them but I adored the liquorice - There were scented cashews called Shemel nessun and Fullnana (Spelling must be wrong!)
Remember the packets of crisps with the twist of salt in the blue paper! Egh! the number of times I bit into that thing!
They used to sell a chew which was four a penny called strawberries and cream I think
Why can't I ever find any Cherry lips that tasted like they used to do!
Barley sugar sticks which we were given when we came out of the Dentists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then there was banana split that glorious taste of banana layered with creamy toffee
Not to mention Lucky Bags, What a mystery tour they were!
Oh wow! do you remember the broken candy that came in chunks and tasted even better than the Crunchies of today!
And Sugar ricicles that were all colours of the Rainbow! - You had a scoop in a paper cone for a penny!
Ah! those were the days!
I shall go to sleep now to dream of Sugared almonds! Imperial mints! Gob stoppers! Frys mint cream! and yes! My Numero Uno! - ANISEED BALLS! - thanks for a trip down memory lane!

Bubs Daddy watermelon bubble gum, the candy Dots that you peeled from a roll of paper, Pop Rocks (if we felt really daring we would take a sip of soda first..then a mouthful of Pop Rocks... yikes!)
I shamefully admit to the wax bottles filled with liquid, wax lips and wax fingernails. The fingernails were my personal childhood fav. of the various wax candies (they even had red nail polish)..ugh! OMG that sounds disgusting now.
Teaberry gum..yep..I even remember the Teaberry shuffle. Anyone else remember Hula Soda? How about some kind of chocolate candy roll that the astronauts were supposed to have eaten?
I enjoyed reminiscing...thanks!!

I miss Pacers, but can still get lemon sherbet chews, black jacks and fruit salads.
We can get Parma Violets as well, they do normal ones and giant ones. Swizzles made the best sweets.
Cough candy sweets are back as well, they taste like Gees Linctus.

My dad would buy me Duncan Walnut Whips. They were fantastic, thick sickly chocolate with the whip inside made from real cream. You cannot buy them now some idiotic regulation about the cream in the whip. We would have cream soda with ice cream blocks in it and the sun was always shining.

I used to looooove nerds, pixie sticks & fun dip (basically pixie stick powder with a candy stick you lick & dip with). I thought fun dip had disappeared but nope, I just saw some the other day & HAD to buy it for old time's sake. Now, my only issue is getting around to opening & eating it cause I'm not a big sweets person. lol.
