want my bf's two snot nosed bratty kids at my house? I'm not kidding, these kids constantly have green snot coming out of their noses and when they come from their mom's house they're just filthy dirty. Their mother does not discipline them and they are loud and obnoxious. The thing is, they're only 6 and 7. I have a 9 yr old who is well behaved and very clean...Could I just be irritated because I was brought up with discipline and cleaniness and not as trailer trash or is it that as long as I could remember snot-nosed kids have always disgusted me? Is anyone else in the same perdicament as I am?

I can see where you are coming from but understand that these children are really not at fault. They haven't been taken care of or taught how to behave. When they are at your home make sure that they get baths and teach them to blow their nose and why they should. Also, be patient, loving, and caring towards these children and teach them the rules. It's also up to their father to do these things as well. I would suggest letting him know that it isn't right for them to be filthy or to misbehave, but don't act critical about it.......come from a well intentioned place.
If you really really don't want to take the time or effort then I would suggest moving on. The fact is, they are his children and will be around.....they sound like they have enough to deal with and don't need someone around who can't stand them.

Is this your best friends kids? If so, why don't you talk to her about the way she's raising them and give her some "friendly" advice on how to care for them with love and discipline. By the way, if their noses are running green that means they have some infection so that should be looked into by a doctor. I don't blame you one bit on how you feel about the situation though, my kids are well behaved also and know what I expect from them and my friend sometimes comes over and her kids are loud, and make huge messes in my house! Why don't you suggest going to a park or something where the kids can play outside and run off their energy.

I don't blame you. It is hard dating someone with kids, especially if they have not been raised correctly. I too am disgusted by snotty nosed kids, even though it is not the poor children's fault.
No I am not in the same predicament as you. I am 50 and anyone I date will usually have kids out of the house already.
