I can tell you're new to meatless eating. Well, you can relax. Protein isn't the problem some make it out to be. Vegitarians don't lack it because there's enough in any food as long as you get 1500 calories a day. I think the idea of complete protein went out in the early 80's. SOME foods are low in some amino acids, but aren't MISSING any. And scientists discovered that the body collects amino acids for combining later. The body also reuses protein. So there's plenty of it. Sleeper grrr's post - I wanted to give it a thumbs down, but wasn't THINKING when I clicked - ended up clicking where there was a "4" - good example of mindlessly following the HERD.

eggs, meat, fish, tofu, legumes (beans), nuts (peanutbutter) and there is some protein in dairy and veggies- just check the nutrition info- you can find that online. There are a lot of protein bars out now- you can get them at any 7-11 or store like that if you need some and you are in a hurry.

meat, eggs, beans, nuts. soybeans are the only known plant source of incomplete proteins, but mixing different plants (e.g. rice and beans) will give you the equivalent of a complete protein.
