I'm french. I just got a Master degree in Computer Science and my girlfriend is american.
I understood H1B visas are pretty hard to get even with my degree. Should I try to find an internship first?
We would like to avoid marrying this early. But anyway, does marrying a american citizen give me the right to work there?
What is the fastest procedure?

Well I don't know exactly what's the deal with mexicans. Not all frenchs hate americans. These frenchs are intolerants from the same kind than the ones you find anywhere in the world. But thanks to the other users, keep on answering!

An internship would make your transistion to legal visa so much easier and give you five years to do it.

Marrying a US citizen doesn't give you any rights what so ever. You fiance can apply for a K-1 Visa which is a visa that entitles you to come to the United States and be married within 90 days or go back home. Once married, you will apply for a green card good for two years and then apply after the two years for permanent residency.
Visas are specific and a business visa, etc is for that purpose only. You getting married to an American woman with any other visa than a K-1 will not be recognized.

It currently takes 4 to 6 months to get a passport.
All businesses in America are going to India for computer work.
Asians are being given all the management positions of companies they haven't purchased.
Mexicans are being given all the technical and supervisory positions.
So come ahead, America is not the place of dreams anymore. We have given it away.
